She is usually glammed up to the nines for her various red carpet appearances and modelling gigs as the face of department store giant David Jones.

But on Friday Jessica Gomes decided to ditch the heavy makeup.

The 29-year-old let her natural beauty speak for itself, as she went barefaced for a smiley selfie which she treated her 165,000 followers on Instagram with.

Raising her right arm away from her to get the perfect shot, the brunette beauty appeared to be unable to wipe the smile off her face as she put her modelling experience into practice.

Looking fresh faced, with an unmistakable glow beaming across her flawless complexion, the Jessica casually whipped her long, slightly tousled tresses over to one side for the image.

‘Here’s a smile for you,’ she captioned the black and white snap, no doubt making reference to her wide grin that showcased her gleaming pearly whites.

Wearing just a casual T-shirt, the Sports Illustrated model opted for comfort after a long day of shooting.

The impromptu photo opportunity took place from inside her trailer after the model wrapped up shooting for the day in Hollywood.

The Aussie model, who is due to hit the runway for David Jones later this month, appears to have had a busy couple of days.

Jessica participated in a photo shoot on Sunday with Aussie pal and fashion super blogger, Margaret Zhang, at the Beverly Hills hotel in California.

The pair uploaded similar shots of themselves on Instagram striking a number of poses against the hotel's iconic palm print wall paper.

Jessica looked to be sporting a healthy glow across her sun kissed complexion as she strutted her stuff against the lush backdrop.

'9021PHO,' she captioned the image, poking fun at both her and Margaret's Asian heritage.

Her low key attire was accompanied by relatively minimal makeup, whilst her hair was styled in loose beachy curls to suit the tropical theme of the shoot.

The Los Angeles based beauty who grew up in Perth in Western Australia, recently made a trip back to her home country.

During her time Down Under in June, she caught up with fellow model pal Nicole Trunfio.

As godmother of Nicole’s son Zion, it was no surprise that Jessica took the time to get acquainted with the bub.

'My bubbaganoosh! Can't get enough of you.....' Jessica captioned a photo of herself snuggling up to Zion during the trip.

Nicole immediately responded underneath the snap, posting three heart emoticons.

Before first meeting Zion, Jessica told Daily Mail Australia in March how much she already adores the bub, saying: 'I am so excited about the experience, I can’t wait'.

'I will love that child with all my heart,' she said.

She also referred to the baby as 'him' at the time, revealing his sex as Trunfio had kept it under wraps.
