Fantastic at 46! Helena Christensen looks youthful in flowing pink frock while shopping in New York

Helena Christensen gained acclaim as a fashion model, working the runway and appearing as a Victoria's Secret Angel.

And on Friday the 46-year-old made the city her runway, as she was spotted strutting through New York City on a shopping trip.

The star looked youthful in a flowing pink dress, and appeared to do well with her shopping as she carried a few large bags.

Helena wore a plunging pink sleeveless dress which cinched in at her waist, highlighting the star's toned figure.

The stylish number also featured a few darker pink embellishments throughout, and fell to a flowing skirt, hitting just below her knees.

The Danish beauty dressed down the look with a pair of gold flip flops, and carried a coordinating handbag.

She accessorized with a gold charm necklace, and hid her eyes behind a pair of over-sized black sunglasses.

The mother-of-one wore her long, brunette tresses pulled back into a bun, and capped off the sophisticated look with a bit of red lipstick.

Helena headed out solo for the shopping trip, without 13-year-old son Mingus or boyfriend Paul Banks.

The model recently gushed to PORTER magazine about her son - with ex Norman Reedus -Mingus' relationship with Paul.

'I see my boyfriend and my son hang out, or hear them talk, and it makes my heart completely melt,' she said.

And while the Danish model may share a co-parenting relationship with The Walking Dead's Norman - the man she was with for five years in 1998 - she admits that she still cares deeply for her ex.

She gushed: 'There are just some people in my life whom I would fight for until the end, no matter what. And Norman is one of them.' 

'There's him, my son, my boyfriend, my family. That's my South American side, where you fight for your family, you fight for the people you love.

'My boyfriend's always teasing me with, "Here comes that Peruvian side! The emotions are erupting."'
