She's the boss now! Anne Hathaway, 32, steps up to CEO role while Robert De Niro, 71, stars as her unlikely assistant in The Intern
In The Intern, a post-retirement Robert De Niro takes an unusual step to find fulfilment: an internship under Anne Hathaway.
'I just know there's a hole in my life, and I need to fill it. Soon,' the 71-year-old actor's character says at the beginning of the new trailer released on Monday.
Ben Whittaker, an aging businessman, finds his purpose working as an intern in the online fashion company run by 32-year-old Anne's Jules Ostin.

Role reversal: Anne Hathaway (left) is the boss in The Intern, with Robert De Niro (right) playing her assistant
Unlike earlier sneak peeks at the upcoming comedy from Nancy Meyers, the newest trailer begins with Ben's struggle to fill his retirement years.
'In retirement, there's an ongoing, relentless effort in creativity,' Robert says in a voiceover while Ben tries to sleep.
'I tried yoga, learned to cook, bought some plants, took classes in Mandarin - believe me, I've tried everything.'
Need for meaning: Robert plays a post-retirement businessman who finds meaning in an unexpected internship with Anne's company
Unusual assistant: Part of a program to put seniors to work, Robert plays Ben Whittaker
Boss lady: Anne co-stars as Jules Osten, the founder and CEO of an online fashion company
Amusement: Both Ben and Jules quickly see the humour of their unusual situation
Although he has at least three decades on everyone else in the office, Ben quickly fits in and becomes a confidante for struggling CEO Jules.
Fortunately for Ben and everyone else, Jules is not a boss-from-hell type - which Anne would know well from her earlier role in 2006's The Devil Wears Prada - despite her high stress levels.
Different kind of boss: Jules is a highly stressed person but is not insane and awful like Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep, left) in Anne's 2006 movie, The Devil Wears Prada
Friendship: The two main characters in The Intern become close friends
Legitimate stress: Although she is the founder of the company, Jules might not be allowed to control it
In charge: Jules tries to stay on top of everything but ends up needing help from some colleagues
There is no romance between Jules and Ben either, but the older man does provide plenty of relationship advice to a young co-worker (Adam DeVine).
'I assume you talked to her, apologized?' Ben asks after the younger man wonders why his office crush has remained angry with him.
The post-retirement intern is clearly not impressed by his colleague's choice to send an emoji-filled e-mail instead of actually speaking.
Romantic advice: Ben gets along with most of the office, even offering love advice to a co-worker (played by Adam Devine)
Unimpressed: When he hears that the younger man thought an apology could go by e-mail, Ben is not impressed with today's youth
Helpful: The movie offers an alternative to the emoji lifestyle loved by the younger characters
Ben gets his own romance as well, thanks to some flirting from Rene Russo's Fiona, the in-office masseuse.
'I love that there's another oldie-but-goodie here,' she says before causing some physical excitement for the intern.
The Intern opens on September 25.
Real relationship: Unlike many movies that would try for a romance, Ben and Jules just remain friends
Oldie-but-goodie: Any romance Ben might have will be with the office masseuse, Fiona (Rene Russo)
Memorable meeting: Ben meets Fiona when she massages him
Excitement: The office guys bond over some unexpected excitement after Fiona's treatment
Coming soon: The Intern will be released on September 25
