Take That star Mark Owen has offered his advice to One Direction in the wake of Zayn Malik's decision to quit the band in March. 

In an interview with Magic FM, the singer said the band need to make sure they keep an eye on the him, admitting they didn't do the same when Robbie Williams quit Take That in 1995.

Wading in, Gary Barlow added: 'I agree with Mark, I think it’s sometimes easier for the band because your, you’re brothers, you know, you stand together.

'It’s always hard for the one that leaves so hopefully they are all in touch. I'm sure he’s got good people around him anyway.'

Meanwhile, Mark, Gary and Howard were pictured arriving at Glasgow airport by private jet ahead of their gigs at the SSE Hydro arena. 

The boys appeared to be in high spirits as they unloaded their belongings while in casual clothing for the outing.

Meanwhile, Gary took to Twitter on Monday to let his followers know he was looking forward to seeing their support act in action. 

He wrote: 'We're so proud to have the amazing @EllaHenderson sharing our stage ! We've told her what a great audience you are #thatters.'
