Controversial lingerie model Sarah Stage reveals she is using a WAIST TRAINER to trim down her already-toned tum - less than two weeks after giving birth to a baby boy

  • Sarah, 30, welcomed son James Hunter into the world on April 14
  • The baby boy weighed eight pounds, seven ounces, and was 22 inches long
  • During her pregnancy Sarah, who lives in Los Angeles, was criticized by medical experts for her trim figure and abs
  • Waist-training corsets have seen a surge in popularity recently thanks to celebrity fans like Kim and Khloe Kardashian

A controversial lingerie model whose sexy pregnancy selfies turned her into an internet sensation has shared a snapshot of herself waist-training her already unbelievably tiny stomach in a leopard corset less than two weeks after giving birth to her son.

Sarah Stage, a 30-year-old from Los Angeles, came under fire during her pregnancy for posting a string of selfies showing off her seemingly rock-hard abs, with many critics claiming that maintaining such a tiny figure could be damaging to her unborn child. But despite their fears, Sarah’s son, James Hunter, was born at a healthy eight pounds and seven ounces on April 14 and the toned model couldn't wait to introduce him to her social media fans with a series of adorable images, along with a host of her own super slim selfies.

And now the Sarah, who shared an underwear-clad snapshot of herself just four days after welcoming her son into the world, has revealed the secret behind her taut and toned tummy – the same kind of waist-training corset made famous by the likes of Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

The model has joined a slew of celebrity moms – including Kim, and actress Jessica Alba – who relied on figure-hugging waist trainers to snap their bodies back in shape after giving birth to their children.

For Sarah's most recent snapshot, which she shared with her 1.7 million Instagram followers on Sunday, she modeled a Perfit Shape waist cincher, which retails for $79.99, as well as a black bra and blue briefs.

'HAPPY SUNDAY waist training time w/@perfit_shape #postpartum [sic],' she captioned the racy picture.

But Sarah looked more like a sexy lingerie model than a mom trying to get her figure back.

The snapshot has been liked more than 32,000 times since it was posted yesterday, with more than 500 people commenting on her incredible post-baby body.

'Wow very hot!' one person wrote, while another asked: 'Sarah, just wondering how often you wear yours? Thanks.'

Although not everyone was impressed with the model's dedication to her body.

'Sooooo bad for your internal organs!!!! Waist training is so dumb to do. Sorry, medical evidence says so [sic].' one person warned.

In addition to the controversial wait-training snap, Sarah also shared a precious photo of her son James in a plush hooded blanket with bear ears, writing: 'Bath time #ninja.'

Over the weekend, the health conscious mom revealed she is breast feeding her baby boy after she posted a photo of herself wearing a Cake Maternity nursing bra as she cradled her son.

'Good Morning! lately all I wear are @cakematernity nursing bras around the house.. So comfy! #BreastFeeding [sic],' she wrote.

The model also had her placenta encapsulated following the birth of baby James – but admitted she wasn’t sure about the effectiveness of the pills.

'Reading mixed reviews on Placenta Pills.. Thoughts? I'll let you know how it goes [sic],' she captioned a picture of her pill bottle.

And on Friday, the proud mother donned a long-sleeve white crop highlighting her midsection, which she paired with some low-cut jeans, to celebrate her son's ninth day on earth, while revealing how quickly she has regained her pre-baby body.

'[Nine] days old today,' she captioned the precious picture, which has been liked nearly 100,000 times with more than 6,000 people leaving comments.

And many were amazed by the model's taut stomach.

'It's like she never gave birth,' one person commented, while another added: 'This woman gave birth [nine] days ago, now look at her belly!'

'She just gave birth and her stomach is already nicer than [mine],' someone else wrote with disbelief.

Last week, Sarah took to Instagram to share several more photos of herself, as well as heartwarming snapshots of baby James.

In one picture, Sarah can be seen wearing a tight black tank top and a Bellabeat Leaf necklace to track her sleep, activity and stress levels.

'Being a new mommy has been amazing,' Sarah captioned the selfie.

Another image of Sarah in a rhinestone encrusted bikini appears to be a flashback photo, but given that her body doesn’t seem to have changed since the birth of her son, it is difficult to tell when exactly the snap was taken.

Meanwhile, James, who already has a full head of dark hair, can be seen laying down wearing a sunny yellow and white striped onesie staring at the camera in a photo his mom snapped.

'The ninja is awake,' she wrote. And just like his mom, the baby boy's image has earned more than 60,000 likes since it was posted on Tuesday.

Sarah also shared a photo of her 'milk drunk' son taking a nap on Monday.

Motherhood is clearly agreeing with Sarah, who snapped the first photo of her trimmed and toned post-baby physique in 'granny panties' - just four days after giving birth.

'[Four] days post baby. Total pregnancy weight gain was 28 pounds. I'm excited to resume my workouts in [five] weeks! #JamesHunter #HealthyBaby #GrannyPanties,' captioned the picture, highlighting her weight gain, which fell within the 25 to 35lbs range that doctors doctors recommend for average-weight women.

The image has earned more than 57,000 likes since it was posted, with many commenting on her post-baby body and her healthy son.

'Proud of you hot momma. You put the critics to rest. You look fabulous and have a handsome baby,' one person wrote, while another added: 'Holy moly! What a legend! The baby's weight puts all the critics to rest.'

The first ever picture of James featured the newborn in an adorable fox outfit. Sarah commented on the photo: 'James Hunter (4/14/15) 8.7lbs/22 inches of HEALTHY baby!

'Thank you for the positive support throughout my journey... It's just beginning! #JamesHunter #Healthy.'

During her pregnancy many people commented that they felt Sarah's unusually trim figure could be damaging to her unborn child, but it seems their fears were unfounded.

Sarah confirmed to E! that she welcomed her son last Tuesday, revealing that her baby boy was 22 inches long at the time of his birth, adding: 'He's a big healthy boy and he got an APGAR score of eight to nine.'

An APGAR score, which stands for Appearance, Pulse, Grimace, Activity, Respiration, is a quick method for assessing the health of a newborn, with scores of seven or above being considered normal.

Sarah famously documented her changing figure via her Instagram page throughout her pregnancy, earning herself a huge number of fans - as well as a fair share of critics - in the process.

Although the new mother came under fire last month as more and more critics spoke out against toned figure, their comments never stopped the model from sharing numerous photos of her toned abs.

The lingerie-clad model snapped her last pregnancy selfie, which she captioned: 'Still waiting #9months [sic],' the day before she welcomed her son into the world.

The snapshot of her in a black bra and thong underwear has been liked over 48,000 times since it was posted, and has earned nearly 10,000 comments.

And Sarah, who is of European and Costa Rican descent, took to Instagram earlier this month to share a photo of growing belly during the last weeks of her of pregnancy, writing: '10 days until we meet #BabyJames.'

But while a large number of comments made about Sarah's figure were critical, many women noted that they found Sarah's pregnancy body to be motivation to work out and live a healthy lifestyle.

'I'm completely inspired to go to the gym first thing in the morning. You look absolutely gorgeous @sarahstage #amazing [sic],' one fan wrote.

'You look absolutely lovely. Hats off to you for being fit and taking care of yourself!' another added.

'If I ever have children, I'm inspired by you to treat my pregnancy the very same way. I'm sure James will be amazing! Congratulations.'

Others compared their figures to Sarah's pregnancy body, with one woman writing: '10 days before giving birth?! Lord Jesus help us all! I look like this after dinner [sic].'

The fitness fanatic loves hitting the gym and often captures photos of herself working out, as well as following a healthy diet of quinoa, spinach and chicken.

Clearly not letting her growing baby bump get in the way of her career, Sarah continued to proudly model whilst carrying.

Two weeks before giving birth she shared a sexy snapshot of herself in black underwear and responded to her haters.

'BTW If you don't like my pics then unfollow me,' she wrote. 'I'm excited, happy and enjoying every second of my pregnancy. Can't wait to meet James! #NFG #37weeks [sic].'
