She is almost unrecognisable in upcoming supervillian flick, Suicide Squad.

And it seems Margot Robbie has taken a leaf out of her character Harley Quinn's book by playing with her hair colour and sporting fake tattoos at a music event in Montreal.

The 25-year-old Australian actress wore a pale pink wig and had faux ink painted on her arm as she partied away in the VIP section of the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival on Sunday.

Keeping her blonde mane hidden with the long hair piece, Robbie donned a colourful ensemble to complete her look.

Donning a tie-dye pink, blue, and black dress, she teamed it with a lace bralette that bared her midriff.

The star, who is originally from the Gold Coast, also donned a baseball cap featuring graphics of women on it, and looked to have worn a touch of foundation.

Having a ball at the festival, she danced along to the music and threw her arms in the air throughout the day.

She was said to be partying alongside her Suicide Squad castmates.

The up-and-coming star also carried a hot pink bag and had her nails painted black.

It seems she took inspiration for wearing the pink wig from co-star Cara Delevingne, who donned a similar wig to the same festival on Saturday.

They were at the Royal Ontario Golf Club in Canada playing golf together.
