Over the last year he's become a regular on the fashion scene.

Alongside his frequent appearances in the spotlight it's been hard to miss Lewis Hamilton's ever-evolving style in particular his hair.

Taking to Instagram on Monday morning, the 30-year-old F1 champion showed off his new braided do as he holidayed in Barbados and readied Crop Over 2015.

Uploading a selfie to the photo-sharing app, Lewis held his camera above his head to give his followers a clear look at his cornrows.

Standing shirtless, Hamilton captioned the image: 'Barbados, we ready!! #Islandlife #Carnival2015'.

The Stevenage born star's latest do sees him ditching his slick 50s styled quiff which he has been rocking for the past few months.

Hamilton's trip to the Caribbean island seems to add weight to the rumours which suggest he is currently dating Rihanna.

It has been reported that the British Formula One ace has enjoyed a string of secret dates in recent weeks with the Rude Boy singer as the pair have both find themselves single at the same time.

The Sun claimed that the duo were spotted dining at Da Silvano in NYC last month, before the party-loving pair hit 1OAK nightclub in the city, where they reportedly stayed until the early hours.

'They've had a flirtation for years and have always fancied each other, but since May this year they've been talking a lot. Finally their schedules allowed them to spend a weekend in the same part of the world and they made the most of it,' a source told the newspaper.

With Lewis jetting around the world for F1 season and Rihanna busy working on her album, the pair are thought to be mapping out some more time together for later in the year, with the insider adding that the Unapologetic singer has asked Lewis to watch her perform at Rock In Rio in September.

The source also went onto say that Lewis is already besotted with the 27-year-old, explaining: 'He is a bit infatuated with her and thinks she is not only sexy but incredibly funny, although he knows she has a reputation as a heartbreaker.'
