She may be a country singer, but she did her best to get the stage rock and rolling.

LeAnn Rimes put her vocal chords to the test on Sunday night in New Jersey's Atlantic City.

It is surprising that Caesars Casino was not shaken to its core as the star really committed to the big notes on stage.

The 32-year-old songstress did back to back gigs over the weekend but her energy was evident as she wowed the crowd as part of her 1982 tour.

With a bejewelled microphone in one hand, the star moved her other hand around as if to help her reach the top of her range as she sung hits like Blue and Can't Fight The Moonlight.

For her performance, LeAnn went for a hippie meets country girl look.

LeAnn matched her hairstyle to the frock's Seventies-inspired feel, wearing her blond hair in a middle part and flowing out in soft waves.

The pop star accessorised the look with lots of long necklaces that gave her ensemble a more eclectic feel.

Leaving the trappings of her glamorous Hollywood life back in LA, the 32-year-old did not wear lots of glam makeup preferring instead to wear a more natural look sans for some pink lipstick.

Playing three gigs in a row is just the tip of the iceberg as LeAnn's tour sees her play dates across the country almost every weekend up until December.

The singer did not seem mind too much posting on Twitter Sunday: 'Tired & satisfied back home to the babies [husband Eddie Cibrian and stepsons Mason and Jake] & normal-ish life.'
