Phoebe Dahl reveals it was 'love at first sight' when she met fiancée Ruby Rose as fashion designer confesses she wants a big white wedding with her famous family

Her fiancée Ruby Rose has shot into the spotlight this year thanks to her breakout role on Orange Is The New Black

But ethical fashion designer Phoebe Dahl has revealed that despite their hectic schedules, the couple always find time for each other.

The granddaughter of beloved children's author Roald and cousin of model Sophie, has confessed in a new interview with HELLO! Fashion Monthly that she didn't believe in love at first sight until she met the Aussie actress.

Phoebe met Ruby through mutual friends in 2014, revealing that the gorgeous actress and model immediately changed her mind about love.

'Do I believe in love at first sight?' she asked HELLO! Fashion Monthly, 'I didn't before Ruby but now I do. I have to! It happened to me – I met Ruby at a barbecue I threw a year and a half ago and we got engaged within about three months. It was all very instant...Honestly, we're not really apart that often.'

2015 has thrown the couple into the spotlight, thanks to Ruby's scene-stealing role on the third season of Netflix hit Orange Is The New Black and Phoebe confesses that she's ready for big changes in their life together.

'I know our lives will change a little bit but we're both very modest and humble so I don't think it'll affect us too much,' she explained, adding that she hopes their public image will allow them to shed the spotlight on causes close to their hearts.

The 26-year-old has launched her own business Faircloth & Supply, a charitable clothing line which donates one school uniform to a girl in Nepal for each item sold.

Phoebe's dedication to her ethical line and Ruby's booming career means their wedding has been put on the back burner for now, but that doesn't mean the Brit designer hasn't thought about her big day and discussed it with her fiancee.

'We're enjoying being engaged,' she explained, adding that the ladies have very different ideas on the perfect nuptials. 'Ruby wants a low-key wedding but I want a big one. I'm from a family of 50 so it's going to have to be big. I don't know how anyone has time to plan a wedding, we're both so focused on our careers right now.'

Ruby echoed Phoebe's views in a recent interview with People, explaining that she 'underestimated' how much her role on OITNB would change her life and career, meaning they have put their plans on hold until next year.

She added that if it were up to her 'we would totally elope with just the two of us and maybe our parents, but her whole family is like a million people!'
