Out of this gala-xy! Christina Applegate steals the show in plunging purple gown at Dizzy Feet Foundation fundraiser in LA

It was an event that drew some of Hollywood's biggest names.

But Christina Applegate easily stood out from the crowd after donning a plunging purple gown to the Dizzy Feet Foundation Celebration Of Dance Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 43-year-old Anchorman favourite looked simply sensational for her age as she prowled the red carpet, and she even took the opportunity to show off her less prominent rocker husband Martyn LeNoble.

Stun in a a navy plunging-neck gown like Christina

Christina Applegate may be the stuff of rap lyrics in the '90s. (Anybody remember PM Dawn's "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss" and the line "Christina Applegate, you've gotta put me on"?) And this fair lady looks as good as she ever did.

At the Dizzy Feet Foundation fundraiser in Los Angeles on Saturday, Christina turned out in a navy beaded plunging neck gown by Indian American designer Naeem Khan. We at Fashion Finder can't wait to see what this New York-based designer turns out every season. He's know for gowns that are opulent without ever spilling over into over-the-top territory. This dress is a one-off for Christina so, unfortunately, you can't buy this exact piece online. But click right to check out Khan's collections ranging from Spring 2015 to Resort 2016. We promise, it will be a feast for your eyes and maybe a little unkind to your wallet.

If you don't need that kind of temptation, see below. We've rounded up some other navy gown options under $200.

The Dizzy Feet Foundation was founded in 2009 by English producer Nigel Lythgoe and choeogapher to the stars Adam Shankman to raise funds to support, improve and increase access to dance education in the US.

And it attracted a host of stars including actresses Elizabeth Berkley, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jenna Elfman and Joely Fisher.

Christina recently admitted she had made 'a stupid move' by turning down the chance to play Elle Woods in 2001's Legally Blonde.

'The script came along my way and it was right after I had finished Married [...With Children] and it was, you know, a blonde who was, in that first script dimwitted but ends up going to Harvard,' the star told Entertainment Tonight about the proposal.

'It was just, I got scared. I got scared of kind of repeating myself,' she explained of her decision to pass.

Christina famously played the promiscuous ditzy blonde Kelly Bundy in the smash sitcom Married With Children, which ran from 1987 to 1997 and didn't want to be pigeonholed.

The role of Elle Woods went on to be taken by Oscar winner, Reese Witherspoon, also starred in the film's sequel, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.

Legally Blonde was a blockbuster hit and even became a musical.

But she said she now accepts her decision, saying: 'That's okay, you know what? Reese deserved that and she did a much better job than I ever could, so that's her life, that's her path.'
