'Orlando and I are still really close so he'll [Flynn] be with his dad for a couple of days, then when I come back, he'll be with me so that his dad can travel,' the Australian beauty revealed.

She added, of their very hands-on and stable approach to co-parenting: 'He's always either with his dad or with me.'

Miranda, 32, further went on to explain why she relocated from her home in Down Under to live in Los Angeles.

'We decided as a family it was the right decision for Flynn, so Orlando and I both relocated and we live five minutes from each other.

'Everything revolves around my son and his welfare,' she added.

Before the couple were often seen near their property in New York City, but they have now all moved to the West Coast to care for their son, while they continue with their equally hectic careers.

Following their shock break-up, the British actor, 38, and the model remained very amicable, and were often seen together with their toddler, putting on a united front in the face of a very bleak romance breakdown.

So her new admission will not come as a surprise to fans of the supermodel-turned-designer, who strives to maintain as much normality in her adorable son's life as possible.

'It's really important to prioritise,' the doting mother added, touching on the difficulty in maintaining her career and personal life as a mother.

'I've even got notes in my calendar like, 'Call my Grandma', otherwise things get so busy.

She continued: 'When my son's at school I'll put things in that I need to do so that when he comes home, I can switch off my phone and really focus on him.'

In the shoot for the glossy magazine, the leggy star is seen reclining on a sofa while sporting a delightful white trouser suit and soft cami.

The former Victoria's Secret model, showing off her more conservative side, had her brunette locks coiffed to perfection in elegant curls, and her face was a picture of beauty with pretty pink shades on her defined features.

Go Boho in Miranda's Zimmermann dress this summer

One of our favorite labels of late has got to be Zimmermann.

This Australian brand is well known for its beautiful swimwear but did you know it also does ready-to-wear? With romantic florals, cuts outs, embroidery and lace, this is the perfect designer for all those Boho girls out there.

Miranda Kerr attended the launch of Zimmermann's new store on Melrose Place in Los Angeles yesterday and of course chose to wear a piece from their collection. This lovely dress is the kind of thing our summer dreams are made of.

In silk georgette with floral embroidery, it features a handkerchief hem and lace up neckline. And the good news is the short sleeve version is available to buy now at Net-a-Porter. Click (right) to add it to your new season wardrobe and float around on the compliments you'll receive all day.

Style with gladiator sandals or a pair of heels to take it out for the night.

In the tell-all interview, Miranda also openly discussed her style, something she has honed over the years in the fashion industry.

'My grandmother taught me at a young age that you don't need to have a lot of money or buy expensive clothes to have style – she said style is more about how you put an outfit together and then carry it with confidence and poise,' she said.

'Depending on where I am – in Sydney or LA, [my style is] more free-spirited, in New York or London, it's more refined and structured, and in Japan, I tend to dress a little more feminine.'

The star is currently turning her attentions to her brand new jewellery designs, in collaboration with Swarovski, of which she has been the face since 2013.

She stressed: 'I wanted to create something meaningful; something uplifting or inspiring whether you're buying jewellery for yourself or someone else.

'I was involved in every single aspect, even down to the wording - words can be very powerful.'
