Pippa Middleton was seen making the most of the sunshine as she hit the shops on the King's Road in Chelsea this morning.

Dressed casually in an open-backed silk tank top and a pair of white denim shorts that showed off her famous derriere, the 31-year-old looked relaxed and happy as she strolled along.

Clutched in one hand was a bag of products from David Mellor, the upmarket homeware designer with a flagship store in Sloane Square.

Show off those stems in Pippa's shorts from Mango

Like every woman on the planet (almost) we're totally obsessed with the Duchess of Cambridge's style.

But she's not the only member of her family whose fashion we like to follow. Pippa Middleton is, of course, a bit of a style icon in her own right and with a wardrobe full of Beulah London, Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Emilia Wickstead and Hugo Boss, it's no wonder.

But today, as she stepped out in London, Pippa kept things high street in a pair of cute summer shorts from Mango. They show off her toned pins to full effect and the cream shade looks great against her golden tan.

So why not give your look a new season update and click (right) to buy Pippa's shorts now? We love their textured feel and frayed hem. Style with a tailored shirt for a preppy take or work with a cropped tee and sandals on the beach this summer.

While the precise nature of her purchases are unknown, Miss Middleton is known to take an interest in interior design and is thought to have helped her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, with the redecoration of Anmer Hall.

Mr Mellor has long been popular with upmarket shoppers and, along with kickstarting the 1970s trend for stainless steel cutlery, is also responsible for the look of the UK's network of traffic lights.

The 78-year-old, who has now handed over the running of his business to son Corin, also designed the square pillarboxes used by Royal Mail in British cities.

While Miss Middleton is yet to show an inclination for industrial design, she has made a foray into creating fashion - a dress and scarf in collaboration with Tabitha Webb.

The pretty £295 floral print dress and matching cashmere blend scarf, £95, were created to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation of which the 31-year-old is patron.

Speaking ahead of June's London to Brighton bike ride, Miss Middleton said working on the pieces had been 'fun and creative' with inspiration taken from her own wardrobe.

'It was great to collaborate with Tabitha to design the style and look of the dress and scarf,' she explained.

'As an ambassador of the British Heart Foundation, I’m delighted that all the profits of the sales will go towards their lifesaving research into heart disease.

'Creating the limited edition pieces was a fun and creative way to fundraise for the BHF London to Brighton cycle challenge.'

While Miss Middleton appeared to enjoy her foray into design, the 31-year-old is currently focusing on her writing career and is studying nutrition with the intention of moving into health journalism.
