She's returning to the world of music after welcoming her first child nearly six months ago.

And on Sunday, Carrie Underwood was making up for lost time when she filmed her latest video in the Mojave Desert wearing a sexy pair of Daisy Dukes and knee-high leather boots.

The 32-year-old flashed a glimpse of her toned tum as she sauntered towards a rugged yellow pick-up truck.

Carrie appeared to pull out all the stops when it came to immaculate makeup, and her signature blonde hair was noticeably longer than usual.

She slung a canvas olive green bag across her body and finished off the look with a semi-sheer white tank top and a plaid vest.

The songbird was surrounded by production crew as she shot the sultry scenes.

At one point, Carrie hopped into the driver's seat of the pick-up truck, and the crew continued to film the songbird as she steered the wheel.

The new mother was also seen clutching a guitar case as she descended down the sandy terrain.

Carrie has been making her return to the stage ever since welcoming her first son Isaiah with her husband Mike Fisher in February.

In an interview with Billboard, Carrie described how her pregnancy left her with plenty of free time to carve out her music.

'I had a lot more time to write. With the pregnancy, I couldn't be out on tour like I normally would be, so I definitely filled my time working in another ways...It's been interesting, because there's some songs that I feel like we've been listening to over a year.

'You know you still love them even though you've heard them that much, and you're on the right track. I feel like that's where we are right now. We're in a really good place.'

The hitmaker also provided an update on the progress of her upcoming music in an interview with Country Countdown USA.

'We're off to more than a great start. We've been recording, I've been in the studio, I've laid vocals down, background vocals, there's still a few steps to go, but it shouldn't be too long.'
