Christina Applegate dodges questions about ditching former fling Brad Pitt from a date back in the 1980s on WWHL

She appeared on the late night show to promote her latest film Vacation, but Christina Applegate did not expect to chat about her famous former fling.

On Sunday, the 43-year-old actress stopped by Watch What Happens Live! to chat with host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Mark Consuelos when she played the fan favorite game Plead The Fifth.

The former Married With Children star was caught by surprise when she was asked about her reported breakup with Brad Pitt, whom she dated in 1989 at age 18.

'There was much talk of a date you went on with Brad Pitt to the MTV Movie Awards in 1989 in which you reported that you ditched mid-date, it says you ditched him for another guy,' Andy prepped his inquiry.

'My question is who was the other guy you ditched Brad Pitt for?' the Bravo exec added.

'How many fifths do I get? I have to say it?' Christina said after pleading the fifth on the previous question.

'I don't have to do nothing,' she concluded as she got away with not giving an answer.

However, Applegate did answer four sub questions regarding the identity of the man she left with instead of Pitt.

She spilled how the mystery man was not an actor, they never would up dating, but he was known to the public.  

'Did you ever see Brad Pitt again? Did you date [him] after that?' Andy asked in a last ditch effort. 'No,' Christina said.

The two other questions she was asked were if she ever hooked up with another woman and which one of her former male co-stars was the 'most endowed.'

In a previous interview, Christina had admitted her dating history with Brad had fizzled.

'We went to the MTV Movie Awards and I ditched him. I left with somebody else!' she told People. 

Following the failed fling in 1989, Brad went on to date Juliette Lewis for four years and Gwyneth Paltrow after her.

Christina and husband Martyn LeNoble wed in February 2013, and have one daughter, Sadie Grace.
