Teresa Palmer embraces summer in cropped denim shorts and quirky shades as she steps out for lunch with husband Mark Webber and son Bodhi

They’re currently crowd-surfing for a new movie, but Teresa Palmer and husband Mark Webber put cinematic endeavours to one side as they stepped out with infant son Bodhi on Monday afternoon.

The family enjoyed an outing in suburban Silver Lake, Los Angeles, where they made their way into a local restaurant for a bite to eat.

As temperatures soared, Teresa, 29, wore an appropriately seasonal T-shirt and cropped denim shorts as she cradled 18-month old Bodhi – her only child with actor Mark.

The Adelaide born star completed her look with a pair of conventional black flats, while distinctive circular sunglasses gave the ensemble a quirky flourish.

Opting for limited make-up and keeping her centre-parted hair loose and natural, Teresa cut a low-key figure as she ventured out with her loved ones.

Strolling by her side, Mark, 35, looked equally casual in a printed slogan T-shirt and his own, significantly longer pair of denim shorts.

Captioning a black and white image of a young woman being apprehended by the police, she wrote: 'I need your help! I'm trying to continue making exciting and groundbreaking cinema in the most authentic and truthful way possible.

'I have a very personal and powerful story that I can finally tell and I need your support... Please click the link in my bio to visit my kickstarter page and consider donating to get my next film made.

She added: I only have 28 days left to reach my goal. If you can't donate please share the link with someone who can. With the utmost respect and gratitude, THANK YOU!'

The actress will next be seen on the big screen in 2016 release Lights Out - a horror film based on a short story of the same name.

Filming for the forthcoming release commenced in June.
