  • Magazine cover shows a comatose Bobbi Kristina just days before her death July 26
  • A photo of Bobbi Kristina in her casket was also reportedly taken at her viewing on Friday evening
  • That photo has now been sold for six figures to an unknown media outlet
  • The sale of the photo has caused a war between the Houston and Brown families, with both sides blaming the other for inviting the guest who took it
  • A photo of Whitney Houston in her casket sold to The National Enquirer in 2012 and ran on the cover of the tabloid

National Enquirer on Wednesday published Bobbi Kristina Brown' last known photo showing Whitney Houston's ill-fated daughter on her deathbed in the final days of her life.

The jarring image that graces the cover of the tabloid, touted as a ‘world exclusive', depicts the 22-year-old woman lying unconscious under a blanket in her bed at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia.

Bobbi Kristina had been in a medically induced coma since January 31, when she was discovered unconscious in her bathtub. In June, as hope for her recovery faded, her family decided to move her to the hospice facility in Georgia.

The magazine cover also features a smaller photo of Bobbi Kristina’s famous mother lying in her casket in 2012 after her own drowning death.

Daily Mail has deliberately obscured Bobbi Kristina Brown's face, and that of her late mother, as seen on the magazine cover to protect their dignity in death.

According to the article accompanying the shocking image, the last phonographs of Bobbi Kristina was taken just days before her passing July 26.

The identity of the photographer remains unknown, and there is no word on whether the person who took the picture was given permission to do so.

The August 17 issue of the National Enquirer, currently out on newsstands, also features chilling images in which an actress recreates the scene inside Bobbi Kristina's bathroom when she was found lying face down in her tub.

Three years earlier, the tabloid sparked a controversy when it published Whitney Houston's funeral photo - the same one seen on the cover of the latest issue.

The release of the deathbed snapshot is bound to intensify the feud between the Brown and Houston families, who have been locked in a fight over another photo of Bobbi Kristina, this one showing her lying in her coffin during her memorial service last week.

The yet-to-be seen picture of the deceased has reportedly been sold for six figures after a heated bidding battle.

Both sides are accusing the other of being responsible for inviting the unknown guest who allegedly snapped the picture.

TMZ reports that the photo was taken during Bobbi Kristina's viewing and that the winning bid topped $100,000.

It is not known which media outlet purchased the picture.

Making matters worse is the fact that intense precautionary measures were taken at both the funeral and wake to make sure this would not happen and that no one would be able to see Bobbi Kristina just before she was laid to rest.

News of the National Enquirer deathbed photo published Wednesday first came out in early July. According to reports at the time, the hospice picture was being shopped around for $100,000.

The National Enquirer even recreated the photo using a model with a strong resemblance to Bobbi Kristina.

After learning someone had taken a photo of Bobbi Kristina as she lay dying, Leolah Brown - Bobby Brown's sister - wrote on Facebook; 'Please know that, that picture that was taken of my niece, Bobbi Kristina was taken when NO other Brown was around her. My brothers KNOW this and we have already determined who we are sure it WAS NOT! And believe me-IT WAS NOT A BROWN!'

She went on to say; 'Meanwhile Bobbi Kristina is not comfortable with NOT ONE HOUSTON coming up there to see her! Yes, I said it because it's the DAM TRUTH! FURTHERMORE, BOBBI KRISS DOES NOT WANT PAT GARLAND [Houston] NOWHERE NEAR HER!!!'

Leolah has been very vocal when it comes to her feelings about Pat Houston, and at Bobbi Kristina's funeral on Saturday was escorted from the church after standing up yelling at Pat during her eulogy.

Tyler Perry walked her out of the service after she said; 'Whitney is rolling over in her grave! You are so wrong for this, Pat!'

Leolah said outside the church that she was upset that Pat had asked mourners to send money to her charity in lieu of sending flowers to Bobbi Kristina's funeral - and that she did so without asking her brother Bobby.

The final service for Bobbi Kristina took place on Monday at Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey, before she was finally laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfeld beside her mother Whitney Houston.
