It was the moment her fellow Real Housewives questioned would ever happen as Sonja Morgan finally unveiled her much-hyped clothing line at a glitzy fashion week show.

But despite her friends' clear admiration for her designs, it was not the clothing or even the large amount of side-boob Sonja was showing that grabbed the most attention - but rather a fight between Bethenny Frankel, 44, and Ramona Singer, 58.

During an unexpected long delay in the middle of Sonja's New York Fashion Week show, Bethenny turned to Ramona next to her in the front row and started unloading her pent-up anger.

And a teaser for next week's season finale makes it clear that the bitter feud continued, with Bethenny calling Ramona an 'a**hole' and telling her: 'You reap what you sow, sweetheart.'

As all the other Real Housewives of New York City waited uncomfortable for the second half of Sonja's show to start, Bethenny instead chose the moment to confront Sonja about her telling their friends that Bethenny had cheated on her first husband, which she denies.

And later on camera Bethenny made it clear just how much animosity she feels towards her over the claims.

'If you're just going to run off to other people and say nasty things about me - things that aren't true and that I'll now have to do damage control of, maybe all the girls will talk about it - it's desperate, it's nasty, it's entitled and it's selfish,’ she insisted.

After initially denying telling people Bethenny was 'a cheater', Ramona told her: 'I said when Bethenny was first married her relationship wasn't going well with her husband so she had an affair….'

'But that didn't happen,' Bethenny snapped back. 'What, did you read it in the paper?'

Clearly sensing a fight, Ramona told Bethenny she didn't 'want to go there' - to which Frankel replied: 'But you did go there.'

And she took the moral high ground by stressing that she never spoke out about Ramona’s own marriage issues when her husband Mario was caught cheating on her.

'Do you know how many people have called me about your situation, and I personally know the girl, and have I said one word?' Bethenny asked her. 'I wouldn’t do that.’

'I'm not perfect, slit my wrists,' Ramona replied melodramatically. 'I'm going through a bad time in my life - fine, crucify me Bethenny. I'm sorry, OK? I’m sorry.

'No, you doing things and then the next day saying you're sorry isn't going to work any more,' Bethenny warned, moving her attack onto how she had bluntly turned down a man Bethenny tried to introduce her to because he was a barman.

She was then disdainful about Ramona's plan to throw a 'New Beginnings' party to celebrate her officially being single, telling her: 'You're talking about doing a new beginnings - you stole two dresses from me.'

As they continued bickering, Ramona offered to pay for the dresses - and Bethenny happily accepted the offer, telling her that she would take a check for almost $1,000 right there and then.

In a studio interview later, Bethenny again attacked Ramona's party, saying: 'I'm wondering why I'm so irritated by the hypocrisy of the new beginnings, aka the old bulls**t party.

'Was it two stolen dresses? Was it s**ting all over my lunch in Turks and Caicos? Or was it telling Sonja that I called her an alcoholic?

'Maybe it might have just been you inviting me to your New Beginnings party.'

But Ramona, looking emotional, insisted the party was not marking a new her - but rather just her new circumstances after finally giving up on a chance of continuing her marriage.

'Not being married and being single - that's what it's celebrating,' Ramona told Bethenny.

Earlier during a lunch date with Dorinda Medley, Ramona told her that she had realized it was 'time for me to have my own life back' away from Mario.

'Mario was a very good father and husband for many years, but at this point we’re on different paths and we’re never going to come together again,' she explained.

'I don’t see myself with someone that wants to give up on life,’ she told Heather, saying her ex ‘just wants to drop out’. ‘He's giving up,’ she said.

Back on the market! Ramona added that she was now seeing men 'that make me feel really good about myself'

'I was dying a death with him,' she insisted.

‘I’m dating some really wonderful, mature men that make me feel really good about myself. And I’m actually excited about this,’ she insisted, adding after a pause: ‘I can't believe I’m saying this!’

The success of Sonja’s fashion show was a particularly proud moment for her given that some of the other Real Housewives - especially Carole Radziwill - had been questioning if she even really had her own clothing line.

All together now: Sonja stood out in her ruby red number as she posed beside her models

'Wow - I’m speechless!' Carole said after the show. 'She has clothes - the Empress has clothes! And really nice clothes.'

'It looks great, the stuff looks beautiful - Sonja has good taste,' Bethenny said, while Kristen - whose nail polish line was used in Elie Tahari’s show at fashion week - also admitted: 'I'm really impressed.'

But Sonja's fashion show did not come without stresses, with three of her 10 models pulling out at the last moment, an intern not printing out the names for seats - which Sonja ended up having to write by hand at the very last minute - and delays as her staff did not have the models looking the way she had asked.

'This is not f***ing happening!' she had screamed at one point, also insisting staff hold up the show both at the beginning and halfway through as she wanted everything 'perfect'.

Afterwards, with a giant smile she said: 'It's a wonderful, wonderful thing - to be able to create and share your vision and people actually love it. I’m really proud of myself.

She had also caught her friends' attention in her stunning red dress that was so low cut at the front they teased her about her boobs and nipples being on clear display, which Bethenny joked was 'distracting' while Dorinda said: 'Nipple alert Sonja - nipple alert!'

But she had refused getting tape to hide her modesty, telling one of her staff: 'My boobs are too small.'
