'Toes before hoes!' Bethenny Frankel survives 'rough' paddle race only to break her toe jumping out of bed 

Talk about getting out of the wrong side of the bed.

Bethenny Frankel broke her toe on Tuesday, claiming she did it while jumping out of bed.

The 44-year-old posted a close up Instagram shot of her damaged digit, which had turned a nasty shade of purple from the bruising.

'This idiot broke her toe jumping outta bed but a rough paddle race Saturday was no prob,' she captioned her Insta post, hashtagging it '#toesbeforehoes'. 

Somehow, the toe she managed to snap was the middle one of her left foot, while the others escaped uninjured.

Her perfect pedicure also somehow survived unmarked, her flawless red nail varnish not even showing evidence of a scratch.

Girls creator Lena Dunham and celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson also appeared at the event, which raised $1.6million.

After Dunham drifted off course and was 'rescued' by pro surfer Laird Hamilton, Frankel posted a snap of an article and gushed over also being mentioned alongside the athlete.

'Being mentioned in a sentence with @lairdhamiltonsurf is like being knighted,' she wrote. 'i believe he's the single greatest athlete on earth. It's he & the water, an unpredictable, living, breathing, terrifying element. #bigwavesurfer #zerofear'
