She knows how to rule the red carpets, but that doesn't mean this star depends on cosmetics and curlers during her off days.

Teri Hatcher, 50, was spotted bare-faced while walking over to dinner at Japonica restaurant on Monday with her 17-year-old daughter, Emerson Tenney, in New York City.

The actress previously admitted being a Botox fan, regularly indulging in the cosmetic injectables in the past, however since 2010 she claimed she had stopped using such treatment.

Teri and her lookalike daughter both sported casual attire for the dinner outing and were seen engaging in animated discussion as they crossed the street.

She showed off her toned physique in black leggings paired with a matching wind catcher jacket.

Emerson, meanwhile, looked at ease in a grey t-shirt paired with colorful dry-fit leggings and comfortable slip-on kicks.

Emerson likely has academia in mind as she prepares to leave her famous mom's side to study creative writing in college, still searching the country for the perfect fit.

Since Teri helped Emerson launch her sky-rocketing charitable website, www.Reachandsafe.com, her daughter's philanthropic efforts have been on the rise and gaining recognition.

Her site's mission statement reads: 'We should all be inspired to reach for our dreams with the safety of knowing that someone has our back!'

Emerson has been on quite a roll since September 2014, having helped others by volunteering at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as part of its Third Thursday program.

In January, she also launched a brand new project called Interviews with Artists, which helped raised the $50,000 needed to open the playrooms at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital for an entire year.

Currently, she is working on a documentary to empower teens to be the impetus of positive change in their communities.
