She certainly knows how to work an outfit having had years of experience on the catwalk.

And this week has been a perfect opportunity for Tyra Banks - who is currently promoting her new show FABLife - to show off some edgy looks.

The 41-year-old stunner owned the red carpet in a unique asymmetric green dress as she arrived at the Disney/ABC TCA Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills.

The model and TV host sizzled in the frock which resembled two dresses in one; a risque leather bustier number and a one-sleeve evergreen pencil dress.

Tyra's glossy brunette locks were styled immaculately and she wore a smokey eye for sizzling effect.

Finishing the look was a pair of suede pointed booties and some statement jewelry.

The America's Next Top Model host is getting ready to head-up roundtable show FABLife which will include Chrissy Teigen as food expert, Leah Ashley as 'do-it-yourself' girl, Joe Zee as fashion guru and Lauren Makk specialising in interior design.

Tyra told the audience at the Television Critics Association she was just as amazed as everyone else she was going to be back on daytime TV.

She explained: 'When the Tyra show ended, I said, "I'm done with talk."'

She decided to step down from the program after five seasons because she felt she had so much going on with her America's Next Top Model commitments and taking business classes at Harvard.

She said: 'It just wasn't a healthy thing for me.'

'At that time in my career, I was probably at my most lucrative... and the most unhappy.'

However, when she got the phone call from Lisa Hackner, who is the EVP for ABC's daytime and syndicated programming, she decided to come in a see what they had to offer.

Tyra knew Lisa from her days on the Tyra Banks show - she had worked for Telepictures Productions which produced the series.

The model and presenter said of FABLife: 'In that meeting, it was everything I have ever dreamed of.'

Meanwhile, Tyra said that the upcoming cycle 22 of ANTM may be the last for the long-running talent show.

'We may be coming to an end soon' she told FOX411.

'There is only so long that a show can last and it is kind of nice to walk away from something before it walks away from you. That is what I did with modeling. I was like, "I don’t know how may years I have left, so let me go out real big."'

Since debuting in 2003, the show's rating have dropped from a high of 6 million to a low of 1.5 million in recent years.

During the panel talk Tyra also got to reminisce about her role in Coyote Ugly as the movie celebrated its 15th anniversary on Tuesday.
