Thanks to her enviably luscious locks, British model Amber Le Bon has been announced as the new global ambassador for haircare brand Redken.

The 25-year-old daughter of Duran Duran rock legend Simon Le Bon and his runway icon wife Yasmin has been chosen by the label for her 'amazing style' and 'incredible energy'.

Following her work with the beauty line, DJ and trendsetter Amber has also unveiled a new 'bronde' (a cross between brunette and blonde hair colour) ombre hairdo.

After swapping her light brown tresses for a more daring look, the it girl revealed why she's not afraid to experiment with her hair.

'It's so exciting to be Redken's new muse!' she said.

'I love having healthy hair, but I also love playing with my colour, so it's important to have a really great colourist and the best products.

'Redken was so fun to work with and I had the best time shooting!'

The campaign, which was shot in New York in February by Txema Yeste, sees Amber pose in a pair of leather trousers and black top that has a daringly low V-shaped neckline, which is cut to her navel.

Her hair is tousled into laid back beach-style waves and she can be seen standing confidently with her hands on her hips.

In a close up, Amber stares directly into the camera lens as her flowing locks are styled to hang loosely around her shoulders.

In the final and only non black and white snap from the shoot, Amber's new hair colour can be seen in all its glory.
