They split seven years ago and found love with other people in the wake of their divorce.

But it seems that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have very much the united front when it comes to their children.

The pair, who are still on good terms, were seen meeting up in LA on Tuesday with their 15-year-old daughter Ava.

The 39-year-old actress wore a pair of high cream and tan coloured block heeled sandals and pale jeans.

She teamed the look with a pale turquoise gingham shirt, her hair pulled up in a high ponytail.

Her phone in her hand, the 'Wild' star kept incognito with a pair of black sunglasses on.

She finished off the ensemble with a tan belt and bag slung over her shoulder.

Her daughter Ava, who is the spitting image of her mother, had her blonde hair down and wore a cute floral frock.

She kept her look casual with a pair of pink pumps and a denim shirt over her dress.

Meanwhile Ryan wore a pair of grey jeans and trainers, along with a black T-shirt.

The couple, who also have an 11-year-old son Deacon, were meeting up together with their daughter in Westwood.

Reese also has two-year-old son, Tennessee with her second husband, Jim Toth.

The siblings clearly get on very well - the actress took to Instagram on Monday and posted a cute snap of the two brothers with the caption: 'Someone is really excited his brother is home from camp! Welcome home, Deacon! #brotherlove'

Reese said going through the split with Ryan was a difficult experience.

Speaking to Elle Magazine in 2012 she said it was 'awful' and added: 'I have to be honest with you, I'm a totally different person.

'I don't think I realised how little I was living. I was so consumed with trying to hold things together.'

Reese met her second husband when he rescued her from his drunk friend who trying to hit on her.

They exchanged vows in March 2011 at her lavish ranch in Ojai, California.

Ryan meanwhile has been dating his long-term girlfriend Paula Slagter for four years.

Despite not having popped the question to his 24-year-old girlfriend, he revealed to Howard Stern during a radio interview on Sirius XM in April he was not opposed to tying the knot again: 'It's (serious). I'm not opposed to (getting married again).'

He said of Paula: 'She's awesome. When people see her they have these judgments because she could be a model but she's about to graduate Stanford Law.

'Also what's great about it — as you get older certain issues become more important to you.

'I'm very involved in civil rights issues, and so to be with a woman who could actually make an impact in the legal realm — that's a beautiful thing.'

Reese and Ryan were married from 1999 - 2008.

In the wake of their split they have remained good friends and worked together as a couple when it comes to raising their children.

Ryan said in an interview with Larry King Now in March their split was down to the fact he and Reese were very young when they met - it was on her 21st birthday.

He added he is not worried when his daughter starts to date: 'I grew up in a very, very female household so I have a real sensitivity with that connection with (Ava) because of that.

'I don't think she'll suffer fools. She's going to have high standards.'
