Kate Moss and Jamie Hince set for 'custody battle over pet dog Archie amid ongoing reports of marital split'

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince are reported to have called it quits after four years of marriage.

And while their alleged separation has been amicable so far, the rock 'n' roll couple are said to be preparing to battle it out for custody of their beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Archie.

The 41-year-old supermodel and her 12-year-old daughter Lila Grace, who she has with her ex-partner Jefferson Hack, are said to have grown so attached to the pet pup that they'll do anything to keep him.

A source told the Daily Star: 'So far things have been amicable, but the subject of Archie is really tricky and neither knows how to resolve the problem.'

Though Archie belongs to Jamie, Kate has always showered the pooch with attention and gifts, and it was previously claimed she had enlisted the services of a dog whisperer to calm his anxiety problems.

'She spends a fortune on his accessories and often walks him', the insider added.

The 46-year-old rocker has admitted to making long-distance phone calls so he can get daily updates about Archie's antics when he is away on tour.

'I get regular updates from Kate on how he's doing', he explained to People last year. 'He's pretty perfectly behaved. I speak to him on the phone sometimes.'

MailOnline has contacted both Kate and Jamie's representatives for comment.

Neither Kate or Jamie have yet to comment about the ongoing speculation of a split, although both parties are still wearing their wedding rings.

Last week, the Kills guitarist was seen cuddling model Jessica Stam, who is 12 years younger than Kate, outside the Kibitz Room bar in West Hollywood.

Jamie appeared on very good terms with the 29-year-old Canadian beauty, who leaned in for a hug and was spotted stroking his cheek, following his band's sell-out concert at the El Rey Theatre.

Meanwhile, Kate has decided to abandon the UK to escape the scrutiny over her alleged split.

The supermodel was seen leaving her London home on Saturday to catch a private plane.

Kate and Jamie, who married in 2011, have not been pictured together since they attended a charity gala in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in May.

The couple started dating in autumn 2007 after being introduced by a mutual friend, shortly after Kate ended her turbulent engagement to troubled rocker Pete Doherty.

They married at St Peter’s Church in Southrop, Gloucestershire, in 2011 with a host of other stars in attendance.

Rumours about the state of their relationship first surfaced when Jamie attended this year's Glastonbury alone: Kate is a big fan of the festival and rarely misses it.

A source told The Sun last month the marriage was over, and has been in trouble for a while: 'They are properly over as a married couple. It's gone past the point of no return.'

Parting ways? The pair, who married in 2011,  are alleged to have been leading separate lives ever since Jamie attended Kate's favourite festival, Glastonbury, alone earlier this summer
