Miley Cyrus and dad Billy Ray are a little worse for wear as they jump on stage with Steel Panther for final ever House of Blues gig

It would not be a Steel Panther gig without a few famous cameos, and it certainly would not be a Steel Panther gig without a few band members and the audience being far from sober.

Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray had the honour of helping the Eighties tribute band send off the Hollywood House of Blues in style on Monday night.

The beloved music venue is scheduled to be demolished to make way for a new development, so it was a packed house as the group with a cult following in Los Angeles called the 23-year-old singer up on stage.

According to Yahoo Music, while Billy Ray was expected to join the rockers - who are known for their rambunctious shows - Miley was a surprise last minute addition.

The singer had been in the audience when the band and her father led a chant to get her up on stage, but the Wrecking Ball star made it clear she was not prepared.

Wandering on stage, the singer headed over to her father for a quick chat before announcing that neither she nor her 53-year-old dad were really in a state to perform.

In videos posted online the star can be heard yelling at the audience: 'I just had to ask my Dad if he is as f**ked up as I am and he said ''yes'' so were ok.'

Despite being, as she calls, it 'f**ked up' Miley was rather tame - for her - as she and her sunglass-wearing father sung along Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar on Me.

While Steel Panther is infamous for their ability to make women lose articles of their clothing, and the We Can't Stop singer has a penchant for not wearing clothing, Miley stayed fully clothed as she danced more than sung during the song.

The star left Steels' frontman Michael Starr and her father to take the lead of the Eighties hit before Billy Ray went on to do a solo of Rebel Yell.

Also getting up on stage for the last show was adult star Ron Jeremy, comedian Dane Cook and *NSYNC's Joey Fatone, who did a spoof of Tom Petty's Free Fallin' which he called Free Ballin'.

Since it opened in 1994, the Sunset Strip music venue has hosted Elton John, Mary J. Blige. Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Prince, Justin Timberlake and Jay Z.

Now that its house band has taken its final curtain call, the House Of Blues will be demolished to be turned into a luxury hotel and condos.
