Chelsea Handler has gone topless many times before on Instagram.

However on Tuesday, she shared an image that was far more covered up than her 1.4million fans are used to seeing.

The 40-year-old comedienne continued her shock humor by stripping down to her underwear to promote an upcoming TV appearance.

She can't stop: Chelsea Handler stripped down to her bra and panties for an Instagram photo on Tuesday

Posing in a black bra and matching panties, she captioned the photo: 'Dear God- Tomorrow night I will be on Seth Meyers' show at 12:30am, nbc. Pls guide me toward the light.'

The former Chelsea Lately host is seen standing in a bathroom wearing only her undergarments and a purse strapped to her shoulder.

The blonde's body looked rather impressive - and her social media fans showered her with compliments on her toned midsection.

Chelsea has previously been seen in various states of undress on her social media pages.

In February, she took in the L.A. cityscape from her balcony in broad daylight wearing only black trousers. While standing topless she rested one bosom on a ledge.

She captioned the photo: 'Thanks for having me Twitter.'

At the time she was engaged in an ongoing feud with Instagram, which removed her nude photo that mocked Vladimir Putin's shirtless horseback riding image.

Making a statement: She was upset when they took down her photo where she was sitting on a horse topless and put that photo next to a shot of Vladimir Putin doing the same thing

She wrote: 'Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better.'

Though it was taken down, she remained undaunted.

The Uganda Be Kidding Me author posted another snap around Christmas where she was seen on a snow-covered mountain, wearing a book bag, trousers, helmet and nothing else - leaving her bare breasts exposed.

Again, the network deleted the photos, however they remained on Twitter.

In January, she continued with her shenanigans, but covered up enough of her body to side-step Instagram's nudity policies.

The former late-night host covered her nipples in pasties that featured the Star Of David as she mounted a camel, telling her fans it was to support peace efforts.
