Dougie Poynter and Ellie Goulding have been having a blast in Ibiza this week.

But the 27-year-old McBusted star took time out from their romantic getaway to share a cute snap of him and his girlfriend relaxing in each other's arms on Tuesday.

The bassist pulled 28-year-old Ellie in tight to his chest as she looked adoringly into his eyes.

He wore a floral shirt which was was unbuttoned low enough to reveal the colourful tattoo situated just beneath his collarbone.

The Air Guitar singer wore his long blonde hair swept back off his face and protected his eyes from the sun in a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses.

He accessorised his boho look with a number of rings and necklaces.

Beside him, Ellie looked as though she had been steering clear of the sun as they enjoyed a warm embrace on the Spanish island.

The Love Me Like You Do singer looked beautiful in a bright patterned camisole which she teamed with gently tousled hair.

Ellie appeared to be sipping on some bubbles while Dougie seemed to be quenching his thirst with some iced water.

Hours later he followed it up with an image taken inside a club which he also captioned with the same word.

In another image Dougie showed off his developing tan as he dipped his feet in the pool.

Ellie has been equally active on Instagram and on Tuesday posted a photo of herself enjoying an iced beverage in the shade.

Wearing a kaftan over her bikini, the chart-topper looked perfectly serene as she took some time out from her tanning schedule to unwind.

The pair have spent numerous days by the pool just lately and Ellie couldn't wait to get her glam on when she headed out with her pals for a night of partying on the White Isle on Monday night.

The 28-year-old singer went all out for her evening on the town and even indulged in a pouting selfie before things got underway.

Honing in on her porcelain skin, Ellie kept her make-up simple for the snap opting only for coatings of mascara and a gentle sweep of blusher.
