The rumour buzzards have been circling over what looked to be another dead marriage.

The sight of a missing engagement ring was enough to stir many into believing that Halle Berry was splitting from her handsome French husband Olivier Martinez.

But according to TMZ the 48-year-old Extant star has an explanation for the absent sparkler - she lost it in Mexico.

Halle has been spotted without her engagement ring in recent months, fuelling speculation her marriage to Martinez was on the rocks.

But according to the gossip website, there is no trouble in paradise as sources told them Halle lost the wedding band in Mexico at the Acapulco International Film Festival in January 2014.

The acclaimed actress' ring had either fell off her hand or she left it on a table and someone took it.

Insiders also revealed that there has ‘been no discussion about divorce with an attorney.’

And the only reason she has not replaced the sparkler is it 'has not been a priority' for the couple, according to a source with TMZ.

The loved-up pair have a one-and-half -year-old son together, Maceo and Halle has six-year-old daughter Nahla, from her previous relationship with Gabriel Aubry.
