They've proved their critics wrong in spite of a 23-year age gap.

And Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 25, and his wife Sam Taylor-Wood, 48, were spotted making some quality time for each other on Tuesday night as they stepped out at the Chiltern Firehouse in London.

The couple - who have children Wylda Rae, five, and Romy Hero, three, together - kept a low profile as they arrived at the venue hand-in-hand.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron star Aaron was sporting an all-black ensemble with a leather jacket and layered necklaces adding a rock 'n' roll touch.

Sam looked chic in a multicoloured wrap dress with a black sash cinching in the look at the waist.

The Fifty Shades Of Grey director wore a leather satchel slung around one shoulder and donned a pair of white trainers that matched her husband's footwear.

The couple, who met on the set of Nowhere Boy in 2009, were very tactile with one another, with Aaron gallantly leading his wife into the venue.

The pair were enjoying some rare time alone in the midst of their busy filming schedules.

Aaron and Sam were also joined by Vanessa Hudgens at the Firehouse, who was making the most of her long legs in a pair of tiny white hot pants and knee-high leather boots.

Vanessa, 26, showed off just the right amount of skin by pairing her skimpy shorts with a loose white blouse.

The baggy number flashed her toned stomach and a hint of her black bra as she made a late night arrival at the venue.

The High School musical star accessorised with a few layered necklaces and opted for a deep berry lipstick and neutral eyeshadow.

Vanessa added an oversized, camel-coloured coat to edge up her look, with a chic suede bag slung over one shoulder.

Also joining the US beauty at the Chiltern Firehouse were the likes of Claudia Winkleman and Bill Nighy.

The star has been making the most of her free time since her short-lived stint on Broadway in Gigi came to an end this summer.

Vanessa previously revealed that her Broadway debut was a lot of hard work, but she was having the time of her life.

'I feel like my body is falling apart just from the wear and tear of doing eight shows a week', she told Just Jared.

'There is a lot of physical therapy and massage involved. But it’s so worth it.'
