Kings Cross guard faces assault charges

A Kings Cross bouncer has been charged after allegedly punching a man in the face, leaving him unconscious.

Police say a 20-year-old man challenged security guards at a hotel on William Street in the early hours of April 14.

One of the security guards allegedly threw several punches leaving the 20-year-old unconscious with a broken nose, broken teeth and a number of stitches.

Police charged the 20-year-old security guard from Yagoona on Wednesday, with reckless grievous bodily harm.

He was granted bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on June 23.
