The clip, uploaded on YouReporter.it, initially shows the female member of staff talking to waiting passengers.

A man can be seen walking up to her and raising his voice. shouting 'shut up! Shut up!'

Losing her professionalism, the employee, who wished to remain anonymous, swiftly shoves the man backwards without appearing to reason with him first.

The crowd starts to jeer, with one lady clapping her hands at the tense situation.

Speaking to Il Messaggero, the employee defended herself, saying 'I thought he was going to hit me'.

She added: 'He was really threatening. Both my boss and I were encircled by angry passengers.'

Further chaos is witnessed as the camera pans to two males in a heated argument.

Two female attendants rush to intervene, breaking up the men's dispute which is being watched by a crowd of onlookers.
