Lea Michele and Emma Roberts star in the upcoming Fox horror-comedy Scream Queens.

The actresses certainly made a howling impression as they hit up the network's TCA Summer All Star Party in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Lea, 28, simply sizzled in a stylish blue jumpsuit that featured a tight top and ruffled details down the front, ending in wide legged trousers.

Later on at the event, Lea posed for official portraits to promote the upcoming series which horror fans are waiting for with baited breath.

Emma, 24, added some decadence in a sheer black mesh frock with a scattering of black embroidery and piping, along with black heels.

The former American Horror Story star let her light blonde hair fall in sultry waves over her shoulders.

Earlier in the day, the ladies were laughing, not screaming, at the Scream Queens panel during the Television Critics Association summer tour.

Emma joined co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, Skyler Samuels, Keke Palmer, Nasim Pedrad, and creator Ryan Murphy at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles where they previewed their hotly anticipated series.

The stars chatted about their roles, show plotlines and who could possibly be the Red Devil killer among a house of sorority mean girls.

The TV drama, which premieres on September 22, tells the story of a mysterious killer - the Red Devil - out for vengeance when a college campus is rattled by a series of murders.

'Every single actor in every single scene at some point is given one direction, which is: "OK, now do the scene as if you’re the killer,'" Curtis told TV critics, according to The Wrap.

'They actually have a bank of interpretations where you can then go back and thread the whole show together and would actually knit the killer’s vest, with each character.'

Creator Ryan Murphy was accompanied on stage by his Glee and AHS partners Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk, who is rumoured to be dating Gwyneth Paltrow.

Murphy revealed the inspiration behind Emma's wicked character Chanel, who is the KKT president and ring leader of mean girls.
