Brokenhearted Perrie Edwards deletes all pictures of ex-fiancé Zayn Malik from her social networking accounts as she unfollows him on Instagram

She was reportedly left 'devastated' when Zayn Malik called off their engagement with a text message two weeks ago.

And though she's tried to put on a brave face Perrie Edwards, 22, is clearly finding the couple's split difficult to bear, as she's decided to wipe all trace off Zayn from her Instagram account.

The Little Mix star, who shared on her profile a photo of the two simply titled 'Love ma man,' just three weeks a go, has deleted all images of Zayn from her account, including the adorable snap.

A week after the picture was taken, Zayn reportedly broke up with Perrie over the phone, ending their four-year relationship.

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Perrie for comment.

Perrie's decision to delete memories of the pair comes after Zayn favourited one of Kylie Jenner's photos on Twitter, as well as following her older sister Khloé Kardashian on the social networking site.

And it's clear that the brokenhearted singer would rather live without the reminder of her ex on her feed, as she has even deleted group photos that included her former boyfriend.

As well as being sad that their relationship is over and removing all trace of Zayn from her profile, Perrie has also unfollowed her ex on Instagram, although she still follows his sister and mother.

And Perrie's recent deleting spree hasn't gone unnoticed by her fans, who have been tweeting in their thousands out of sympathy for the singer.

One user said: 'It must have hurt Perrie whilst she deleted all of her photos of Zayn off Instagram, but it's the first step to getting over someone.'

While another defended Perrie's decision by saying: 'If you think Perrie's being immature bc she deleted all the zerrie pictures and unfollowed zayn you all need to re-evaluate your life.'

At the start of the year Perrie shared a photograph of the two as they struck a pose as Edward Scissorhands and Egyptian queen Cleopatra.

But despite the photo being taken during happier times when the couple celebrated New Year's Eve together at a fun-filled fancy dress bash, Perrie has still chosen to remove the memory from her profile.

And it's not just loved-up snaps of her and Zayn that she's decided to get rid of, as Perrie's also said goodbye to images of her ex-man taken in a group, like another photo she shared on New Year's Eve.

Meanwhile Zayn has been upping his Twitter presence with a string of messages.

Seemingly bragging about his pulling power, Malik tweeted a line from Lil Wayne's 2014 track featuring Drake, Believe Me, which read: 'Got some game from my dad'.

Perhaps looking for some inspiration for his new album, the former One Direction star then shared lyrics from Kid Cudi's single Maui Wowie and tweeted: 'going back to HONOLULU'.

But as Zayn gets to work on his solo material, Perrie has commented on his ex-band's first single as a four piece titled Drag Me Down.

Deeming it her favourite song of the summer, Edwards told Radio Disney: 'I like One Direction's new song Drag Me Down. It's incredible.'

While she's made the decision to delete photos of Zayn from her profile, Perrie has continued to post lighthearted snaps of her with band mate Jade Thirlwall, while she still appears to be enjoying her time with Little Mix.

Doing her best to keep in good spirits following the split, Perrie replaced Malik for Mickey as she smooched the famous mouse in a photo posted to Instagram on Friday.

The Disney fanatic, who whisked Zayn to the Paris resort as a surprise for his 21st birthday in 2014, puckered up to a figurine as she made new memories with Jade - that she didn't waste a minute in sharing with her social media following.
