Josh Duhamel enjoys some downtime as he plays leisurely round of golf at driving range in brightly coloured ensemble

With a son heading towards his second birthday and a gruelling filming schedule it is no wonder he needs some time to unwind.

Josh Duhamel looked casual and relaxed as he hit some golf balls at a Bel Air driving range on Thursday.

The 42-year-old actor wore a turquoise polo shirt, chino shorts, a purple cap and white Adidas trainers while he showed off his golfing prowess.

Josh was once again wearing a knee support although he wore the black bandage on his right knee despite previously been spotted wearing it on his left.

He opted for his usual unshaven look and sun-shielding cap, which gave the laid back ensemble an even more causal edge.

The Transformers star was seen carrying a mass of golf clubs out of his car before grabbing his golf bag and a sports bottle to keep hydrated during his session.

The actor is set to play more sport on Friday at an all star charity basketball match.

Josh is playing at the ESPNLA 710 All-Star Celebrity Game, an inaugural annual event organised by Nike which aims to raise money for the Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Fund.

He took to Instagram to voice his excitement about the match, posting an image where he clutches a basketball, adding the caption: 'Join me next Friday, August 7th for the ESPNLA All-Star Basketball Game to benefit the Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Fund. Tickets: www.nike3on3.com.'

The actor's lone game of golf came just days after he was spotted out and about with his son Axl Jack Duhamel, who turns two at the end of August.

Josh shares Axl with his wife, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, who he married in 2009.

The loved up pair met when Fergie made a cameo appearance on the now-cancelled NBC drama Las Vegas.

Josh is currently throwing himself into an array of acting projects, including 11/22/63 a TV mini series, where he stars opposite James Franco and plays Frank Dunning.

He also plays Ben in Beyond Deceit, a sexy thriller about a young lawyer who gets embroiled in a web of blackmail and corruption.

Both projects are due for release next year, so with a toddler and a jam packed work schedule, Josh will need plenty more relaxing golf sessions in 2016.
