He revealed earlier this week that he has plans to meet up with ex Gigi Hadid while they're both Down Under.

But the American IT girl appeared to be a no-show at Cody Simpson's Kings Cross gig in Sydney on Saturday night.

The Surfboard crooner, 18, took to the stage at The X Studio armed with his guitar and trademark leather jacket.

Back lit, the Australian singer, known for his sweet lyrics and melodies to match, had the crowd cooing with appreciation as he strummed his way through his hits.

Donning the same hat he wore to Friday night's Gold Coast gig the Free singer looked absorbed in the music as his nimble fingers danced across the strings.

His mop of wild blonde hair poked from the side of his hat as his fan base captured the special moment on their iPhones.

Cody, who left his home country age 10 to pursue a music career overseas, landed back home earlier this week, ahead of his former girlfriend Gigi.

The high-profile couple announced they were separating in May after dating on-off for two years - citing work commitments for the split.

Despite parting company Cody revealed the friendly exes plan to meet while both in Australia.

'We'll probably catch up while we're in town,' he told Channel 10's The Project on Tuesday night, before adding, 'it's super amicable, she's a great chick.'

The 18-year-old Australian is in his home country for a series of gigs and landed just three days before Gigi, 20, who arrived on Tuesday to launch the Guess Spring 2015 collection.

While Cody has been in the Gold Coast catching up with friends and family, as well as playing for fans, Gigi has been enjoying the delights of Sydney.

On Friday the model took a break from her promotional duties to enjoy some sight-seeing around Sydney.

The blonde bombshell, who is believed to be dating singer Joe Jonas, was seen enjoying a day out at Taronga Zoo followed by a harbour cruise, in the company of AFL star Tom Derickx and friends.

After a day of checking out the cute animals at the zoo, both stars decided to join their pals for a relaxing cruise along Sydney's famous harbour.

Hosted by Sydney Harbour Exclusive, the group were treated to a luxurious water experience, enjoying the finest sights of the city's night skyline from an exclusive boat.

In a snap shared by the company on Instagram, Tom is seen resting his hands on Gigi's arms as she leans back towards him, the pair still wearing their attire from earlier in the day.

Clearly a fan of striking a fun pose, Tom is also snapped in an image with Gigi's fashionable pal Leah McCarthy, in which both personalities have their legs stretched out.

Guess ambassador Gigi has been on the press circuit since her arrival on in Sydney on Tuesday and has made a slew of public appearances, including greeting fans at David Jones' Elizabeth Street store on Friday and attending a brunch at Bondi's Icebergs Dining Room where she socialised with local fashionistas.

This week has also seen her grace David Jones' annual spring/summer collection launch where she sat front row as models Montana Cox, Jessica Gomes and Jesinta Campbell walked the runway.

While she and ex Cody Simpson, who is from Australia, are in the country at the same time, it doesn't seem the pair have crossed paths Down Under as of yet.
