Juliette Lewis enjoys the sunshine at a farmer's market with mother Glenis Batley... four months after the death of her father

Juliette Lewis and her mother, Glenis Batley, showed their close bond as they visited a farmer's market on Sunday.

The pair bought some fresh, pressed juice in the Studio City neighbourhood of Los Angeles before enjoying lunch with other family members at Joan's On Third.

Juliette, 42, and Glenis - first wife of the actress's father Geoffrey Lewis, who died in April - both stuck to casual and summery clothing for their shared time.

For Juliette, this meant her reddish-brown hair was worn loose, blowing in multiple directions by the breeze.

Her only jewellery seemed to be a simple necklace around the throat, and she did not appear to be wearing any makeup for the outing.

A white shirt printed with blue and pink flowers served as Juliette's top, while bright blue, fitted trousers covered her legs.

Black flats with multiple straps finished off the look - Juliette only carried a paper bag and did not even seem to have a purse with her.

Glenis was a little dressier than her daughter with similarly coloured hair worn loose in curls and a touch of red lipstick.

She wore a pale blue blouse over a turquoise chemise and paired those shirts with white Capri trousers.

Juliette found fame at the relatively young age of 18, garnering an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in 1991's Cape Fear, opposite Robert De Niro.

Lead roles in movies like Natural Born Killers and Kalifornia cemented the actress' star status in the 1990s, while she increasingly appeared on television after 2000.

The actress was nominated for two Emmys early in that decade, for the children's program My Louisiana Sky in 2001 and for TV movie Hysterical Blindness in 2002.
