Pregnant Jenna Bush Hager moved to tears after getting a surprise phone call from her mom and grandmother during last Today show segment before her maternity leave

Today show correspondent Jenna Bush Hager, who is expecting her second child this week, broke down in tears during her final segment on the show, after receiving a sweet send-off from her co-stars before staring her maternity leave. 

The 33-year-old, who has a two-year-old daughter Mila with husband Henry Hager, was joined by anchors Tamron Hall, Savannah Guthrie, Willie Geist, and Natalie Morales on Monday morning as they celebrated the impending birth of her second daughter. 

And after the Today show stars showered the expecting mom with presents, Savannah revealed that Jenna's mother Laura and her 'Gammy' Barbara had dialed in to offer their own warm wishes for her final show, prompting an emotional Jenna to begin welling up.

'Are they really?' Jenna asked of the former first ladies. 

Jenna, who had just finished a segment about Reese Witherspoon's clothing line Draper James, was filled with emotion as she said hello to her mother. 

'We're calling in just to give her lots of love, and tell her we can't wait to see that new baby,' Laura explained. 

'I can't handle this!' Jenna responded tearfully.

Barbara revealed that everyone in Walker's Point, Kennebunkport, the location of George H. W. Bush's summer home, was anxiously awaiting August 13 - Jenna's due date. 

'Yeah me too,' Jenna said with a laugh. 

'I have the best mom and grandmothers in the world,' she said of her support system. 

And Savannah noted: 'One thing we know the Bush ladies know how to do is raise beautiful little girls.'

However, Barbara was quick to jump in and add: 'Wait a minute. We're not bad on boys!'

'Oh Mrs Bush, Iove you,' Savannah said laughing. 'She gets me every time.' 

During the heart-warming moment, Willie said it's 'not bad when you can have a couple of first ladies call and wish you off on maternity leave'.

Jenna announced her second pregnancy in April on the Today show, enlisting toddler Mila to help her deliver the happy news to the public.

During a segment in which 'adventure correspondent' was discussing what her 'next adventure' for the show would be, Jenna cut away to a clip of herself pointing to her tummy, asking Mila who was in there, before the toddler told the world that it was her 'baby sissy'.

'This is the biggest roller coaster ride there is, having children,' Jenna said of her pregnancy.

She added about her daughter's reaction to the news: 'She's excited, she's so cute. She keeps saying baby sissy, baby sissy!'

Wearing a fitted purple dress which showed just the tiniest hint of a bump, the Today show correspondent confessed that she was 20 weeks into her pregnancy, revealing that her second daughter is due in August.

Jenna admitted in an interview with People that she has known about the pregnancy for some time, revealing that she and Henry broke the news to her parents, former President George Bush, and former First Lady Laura, the day after Christmas.
