After giving birth to her first child Bobby last September, Kimberley Walsh opened up about her struggle to shift the last of her pregnancy weight.

But after taking the time to settle into motherhood, the former Girls Aloud star has bounced back, showcasing her svelte new figure in her role as a celebrity weight loss ambassador.

To mark her new role with SlimFast, the 33-year-old glows in a glamorous photoshoot, sporting a daring sheer panel bodycon crop top and skirt in one picture and a figure-hugging jumpsuit in another.

After putting on three stone during pregnancy, Kimberley, who returns to London's West End in 1960's musical Sweet Charity, admits that she was keen to shift the post-baby weight.

Kimberley explained: 'I put on three stone during my pregnancy.

'Whilst the first two stone came off quite easily, I really struggled to shift the last stubborn half a stone or so.'

The 33-year-old previously played Princess Fiona in the London production of Shrek the Musical, and with her upcoming return to the stage towards the end of August, she turned to UK diet plan, SlimFast.

'With my return to the West End stage looming I really needed a motivational boost to shift the last extra weight,' the blonde admitted.

'SlimFast really works for me and after just a few weeks following the plan I'm back to feeling and looking my best again. I feel on top of the world.'

In the retro-inspired images, Walsh looks the picture of health, showing off a subtle sun-kissed glow and wearing her honey-blonde hair in a tousled bob.

Walsh, who was  runner-up on the 2012 season of Strictly Come Dancing, was surprised during her pregnancy to find herself struggling with her weight for the first time.

She explained: 'Before I had Bobby, I'd never really struggled with my weight.

'Being in the band [Girls Aloud] and Strictly, I was able to maintain my weight and shape through exercise and dance routines.

'As a new mum I didn't want to put myself under pressure to snap back into shape.'

But the mother-of-one found that as time passed and Bobby, now nine months, grew older, she was still finding it difficult to slim down.

'I knew I had to find something that would quickly shift the weight so I could feel at my best again,' explained Walsh.

'At last, that last half a stone is gone thanks to SlimFast, and I feel like I've got my body and confidence back – as well as my wardrobe!'

The star has had a busy year, also getting engaged to her long-term love, Justin Scott.

Walsh, who has been with Scott, 32, for ten years, revealed how her husband-to-be got down on bended knee just minutes after she had given birth to their son.
