But, to look at Simon Cowell, there's little evidence of that, especially as he was seen soaking up the sun in Ibiza on Sunday.

In fact, the 55 year-old flaunted his own talents as he navigated the Mediterranean sea with a jet-ski while holidaying on the island of Formentera.

Naturally, he was watched by a very special audience - which consisted of girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their 18-month-old son Eric.

Meanwhile, excitement for the revamped X Factor is gaining momentum since a teaser trailer was released last week.

The show's boss has completely shaken up the judging panel this year: after reinstating Cheryl Fernandez-Versini last year, he recruited Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora for the forthcoming series, after Louis Walsh left after 11 years on the panel.

Speaking recently to Hello! Magazine, Simon has insisted he is over the judging panel feuds and wants the full focus to be on contestants.

'I'm kind of bored with all the fights,' he explained. 'I just want to get it back to the talent.'

The X Factor is set to return to ITV later this month.
