Experts do say dogs like their owner to take charge.

But it looked like Janice Dickinson was being a bit ruff as she rammed her dog into her car boot in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The self-proclaimed first supermodel sneaked round the rear of her chocolate Labrador so she could give it a helping hand after they went for a walk in the posh area of Los Angeles County.

The 60-year-old, who has owned the pooch since 2008, showed impressive strength in her legs and back as she deadlifted the animal from the ground

She had earlier showcased her slim physique in a patterned top, pink skinny jeans and flat shows as she sauntered around well-heeled area, and even took the opportunity to indulge in a sly puff.

No doubt Janice is keen to build her stamina ahead of appearing on TV screens after being confirmed for a new season of Celebrity Big Brother.

The new series will feature a UK versus US theme, and Dickinson has signed a £300,000 deal to take part, according to The Sun.

Janice is the most high-profile of the dozens of women who have come forward to claim comedian Bill Cosby raped her.

The model went public with her story nine months ago, and said Cosby's lawyers pressured her to leave the details out of her 2002 autobiography.

She has since sued Cosby for defamation and emotional distress after his camp claimed she was making up accusations that the Cosby Show star drugged and raped her at Lake Tahoe, California in 1982.
