Former LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling now suing V Stiviano and TMZ for 'leaking racist recording because it violated his right to privacy'
- Donald Sterling, 81, filed lawsuit against Stiviano and TMZ last Friday
- Says pair of violated his privacy after tape of his racist rant was released
- Also says they caused him 'unparalleled and unprecedented' damage
- In wake of tape being published he was forced to sell LA Clippers for $2bn
- Sterling also suing wife Shelly, doctors and NBA in wake of tape scandal
First, he announced he was suing his wife, two doctors, and the NBA for forcing him to sell the LA Clippers for $2billion.
Now, it seems, Donald Sterling has set his sights on his former mistress V Stiviano and gossip site TMZ after filing court papers against both of them as well.
In the newest lawsuit Sterling, 81, argues that a recording in which he was heard telling Stiviano not to bring black people to his basketball games violated his right to privacy.
The lawsuit adds that when Stiviano allegedly leaked the recording to TMZ it caused damage on a 'scale of unparalleled and unprecedented magnitude' after it led to the NBA banning him for life, and fining him $2.5million.

Billionaire Donald Sterling is suing former mistress V Stiviano (pictured to his right during an LA Clippers game in 2013) and gossip site TMZ for allegedly leaking a recording of him making racist remarks last year
In the fresh lawsuit, Sterling says Stiviano (left and right) and TMZ violated his right to privacy, and caused him on a 'scale of unparalleled and unprecedented magnitude'
Today's lawsuit filing is just the latest episode in the messy legal web that has entangled Sterling in recent years.
It all started in early 2014 when Shelly, Sterling's wife of nearly 60 years, filed a lawsuit against Stiviano, alleging that she had exploited Sterling to get her hands on $2.6million-worth of 'sugar daddy' gifts.
Shortly afterwards, Stiviano is alleged to have handed the recording of Sterling's racist rant to TMZ, which led to public outcry, especially among the basketball community.
The recording was believed to have been made on a mobile phone back in September 2013.
As well as telling his then-mistress not to bring black people to his games, Sterling chastised her for posting an image of herself with former NBA star Magic Johnson on her Instagram page.
After TMZ published the recording in April last year, Sterling was forced to sell basketball team the LA Clippers for $2billion, was banned from the NBA for life, and was fined $2.5million
Speaking to Stiviano, who is from mixed black and Mexican parents, he said: 'It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. Do you have to?
'You can sleep with [them]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it.'
Sterling's is also suing wife Shelly (right), two doctors and the NBA after he was forced to sell the Clippers because he was ruled to have dementia and be unable to handle his business affairs
After a complex legal battle Sterling was eventually forced to sell his team, the LA Clippers, to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2billion after wife Shelly successfully argued in court that Sterling was suffering from dementia, and unable to handle his business affairs properly.
That led to Sterling announcing that he is suing Shelly, the NBA, and two doctors who examined him, claiming in federal court that they conspired to remove him from the team.
Sterling and Shelly were then back in court in April this year, though this time on the same side, in order to reclaim $2.6million in gifts, including a $1.8million LA condo, that Sterling had given to Stiviano during their reportedly sexless relationship.
Shelly ultimately won that case, and shortly afterwards Stiviano was pictured moving out of her former apartment in a used Hyundai while her possessions were packed into a graffiti-covered truck.
She was forced to leave behind her former glamorous lifestyle, including a Ferrari which Donald had bought her.
Stiviano has said Sterling consented to the recordings being made, adding that he had no expectation of privacy because her sister was also present at the time they were made.
Sterling, however, said in the lawsuit that the 'illicit' recordings were secretly made and provided to TMZ by Stiviano 'and/or her agents.'
Attorney Mac Nehoray, who represented Stiviano in the previous lawsuit, said: 'It's ridiculous if he says he was damaged by it when he made $2 billion.
Last week Sterling also filed for divorce from Shelly (pictured attending a Clippers game with him in 2010) just weeks shy of their 60th wedding anniversary
'I think he's just a litigious person. Unless he has something going on in the public eye, he can't exist.'
The latest lawsuit was lodged on Friday last week, just two days after Sterling filed for divorce against Shelly, weeks shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
