She's only just learning about the magic of Christmas.

And Busy Philipps made sure daughter Cricket Pearl was having a wonderful time as she attended her first holiday party on Saturday.

Held in her mother's arms, the two posed beside a snow-decked tree with Busy's husband of seven years Marc Silverstein.

Cougar Town star Busy and her family were attending the Baby2Baby Holiday Party presented by her pal Jessica Simpson's The Honest Company in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old mother-of-two opted for a makeup-free complexion for the event where she was joined by stars such as Drew Barrymore, Rachel Zoe and Rebecca Gayheart.

The actress was dressed in a multicoloured print dress paired with a pair of purple stockings.

Busy amped up her fashion flair with a black leather jacket and brown boots.

The barefaced beauty pulled back her long blonde tresses in a high bun on the top of her head to finish her look.

She was accompanied by partner Marc who sported a scruffy facial hair, puffy green vest, striped black and white sweater and fitted denim jeans.

The doting mother carried her youngest child in her arms as she helped little Cricket make several items at the arts and crafts tables.

Cricket looked adorable in a maroon long sleeve shirt, black trousers, beige beanie and turquoise sneakers.

The Baby2Baby reception was presented by The Honest Company, which is a successful line of baby items created by actress Jessica Alba.

During the event, Busy mingled with the Sin City star as well as Rebecca Gayheart, Kelly Sawyer and Norah Weinstein.

Missing from the family outing was Busy's oldest child Cricket, aged six.
