Amy Duggar likes to do things differently from her more conservative family members.

The 28-year-old 19 Kids And Counting star got down and dirty with her fiancé Dillon King for an unconventional photoshoot over the weekend.

The couple - who announced their engagement last month and intend to tie the knot in September - was seen in one professional snap holding hands and leaning in for a kiss while clad in muddied clothes.

The fact that they were standing in waist-high grass in a muddy pond would explain the latter detail.

Amy took to Instagram to share the photo, boasting of all the fun she had.

'An old fashioned mud fight! @dalebenfield @merebenfield for going right along with my crazy ideas! #crazytalented #loved it!' Amy wrote, adding: 'Everyone check out his blog for even more pics!! - Love you even if you are a muddy mess @kingdillpickle'

The photographers Dale and Meredith Benfield wanted to capture the couple in all their earthy glory, and they certainly succeeded.

'Our photographers were absolutely amazing to work with!' the niece of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar told Us Weekly. 'They captured Dillon and I just doing what we do best, having fun! We are a very playful couple.

Amy went on: 'So he started the mud fight [it..]... but I think I ended it. Just two big kids madly in mud.'

Wedding fever: TLC may have nixed plans for a lavish televised wedding but at least Amy got to register for gifts at posh Dillards department store

'It was really special that he proposed to me on his family's property,' Amy added. 'It was the perfect backdrop for our engagement pictures as well.'

When Amy initially met Dillon in 2007, she said she 'had no intention of dating him,' but that all changed once he started teasing her about her outfit.

This summer, Dillon got down on one knee to propose to the country singer - with a big diamond engagement ring - and she accepted.

And while TLC scrapped plans to televise the wedding, in the wake of elder son Josh Duggar's child molestation scandal, Amy's wedding registry should be posh enough to please her.

Amy registered at Dillard's department store and the list is extravagant when compared to her more frugal cousins.Jill and Jessa Duggar.

Among Amy's designer must-haves are a decanter and a 500-thread-count down comforter by Lauren Ralph Lauren, according to Dillards.com registry and reported by People.com.

There are also a green and white polka dot Kate Spade Sault melamine plate, a Kate Spade New York diner stripe oven mit and Kate Spade New York gold dot highball glasses.

Amy is also asking for Oneida flatware set, Mikasa glass set, Towie serving plates, and Calphalon nonstick cookware.

On Saturday, Amy was the guest of honor at a bridal shower hosted by the Dillards department store at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayatteville.
