'I am perfectly well folks': Val Kilmer arrives at LAX with his face and neck covered by a scarf...as he continues to deny he has had cancerous tumor removed

He has been strenuously denying he has had surgery to remove a tumor on his throat for some months.

But whatever 'procedure'  Val Kilmer has undergone, he still seems to be suffering from the after affects.

The actor was seen arriving at LAX on Tuesday, and was wearing a scarf across his mouth and throat.

The 55-year-old wore his hooded top up over his head despite the California heat, and has dark glasses on.

Val was reportedly rushed to hospital back in February after he began bleeding from the throat due to a tumour.

According to TMZ, the Batman star had been refusing to have treatment on it because of his religious beliefs.

He is a Christian Scientist, and the faith advocates prayer for healing over surgery.

However Val has always denied he has had a tumor or been suffering from cancer.

In June he took to Facebook to reassure his many fans that although he may be out in public covering his throat up, there was nothing to worry about with regards to his health.

He posted on the social media site: 'I am perfectly well folks. Thank you for all your love and support. I am having a grand time.

'And I should mention I do not have cancer or a tumor. There has been a swelling that I have covered during this period of recovery from a procedure I had done which was not an operation on this area. '

Addressing the fact he has been seen out with a number of different items to disguise his neck area he added: ' I imagine I'm going to keep wearing scarfs till the swelling goes down, even though it's a silly look for LA SUMMER! Or LA EVER!'

He also seemed positive about his condition, whatever it may be in March and tweeted a message saying: 'It's getting better all the time; 'God, Life, Truth and Love make a man undying,'

He also referenced the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which is the main text used by followers of Christian Science.

It was written by Mary Baker Eddy, who came up with the concept of the religious belief.

In February he took to Twitter to post a photo of himself after reports which said he had been admitted to hospital.

He captioned that he had been released from the medical facility, which was believed to be UCLA

It was suggested he had been admitted to intensive care at the end of January because of a 'complication' and needed observation 'under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU.'

The photo came in the wake of a message of Facebook on January 31 which scotched talk he had had a tumor removed.

He wrote: 'Thank you for all your sweet support. But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation.'

Val added:  'Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there’s minimum gossip and silly talk.
