Anything but onions! Salma Hayek eats stir-fried silkworms and other strange things for Watch What Happens Live

Salma Hayek was the clear star of Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday - only partially because of the many strange things she was willing to eat.

The 48-year-old actress joined host Andy Cohen, 47, and fellow guest Craig Robinson, 43, for the show's typical combination of chatting, games, and drinking.

One of those games proved that Salma was willing to eat almost anything, happily chomping down on deep-fried frogs' legs, a jalapeno, stir-fried silkworms, and spray cheese.

'I will eat just about anything,' the actress explained. 'No onions though.'

The only dish that appeared to repulse her was Gefilte fish - which Andy called 'kind of like Spam for Jews' - which left her screwing up her face and saying: 'I'll stick with the worms.'

Despite her tasting challenges, Salma insisted she is strict with her diet when asked how she managed to get back in such great shape after giving birth.

'You keep your mouth shut!' she joked. 'You eat, but you have to eat the healthy stuff.'

'It's always great to breast feed,' Salma continued. 'Don't worry about it while you breast feed, but after you stop - eat less, exercise.'

'I know this is very boring but you have to take care of yourself!'

After a reminder from Andy Cohen that she had written the forward to the book The Juice Generation - with author Eric Helms there making their cocktails - she quickly added: 'And drink, yes, your juice!'

While watching throwback clips from her career, Salma laughed after seeing her perform her sexy snake dance in From Dusk Till Dawn, ending with director Quentin Tarantino sucking her toes.

'George Clooney was saying, "How come she doesn't look at me - why don't I get to suck anything?",' Salma recalled. 'And Quentin said, "Because I'm the writer."'

'Smart man,' Andy laughed.

Movie romance came up again when Salma was asked how she felt about her Grown Ups husband, Adam Sandler, in real life.

She revealed that she did feel a family bond associated with Adam - but it was his wife, Jackie, that Salma insisted was her own better half.

The close relationship between Salma and Jackie came up when a caller inquired whether the actress 'would ever bang' Adam outside of the movies.

'That would be complicated - because his wife is kind of my wife,' she replied after the laughter at the caller's up-front question subsided.

'She is the one taking care of my children when we're doing movies and she helps me with everything. 'We're really good friends.'

'And it's really hard to find a good wife. I wouldn't jeopardize that relationship,' Salma added with a smile.

But she made it clear someone will never be a close friend - Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Mexican-born Salma, who has already spoken out against the wannabe-President after his controversial comments about her home country, left comically long pauses as she tried to think of 'three nice things about Donald Trump' from another caller's question.

'Let me think... not the hair... um... I'm thinking really hard... I'm thinking really hard... I'm kind of stuck,' she said.

'I'm sure there's something wonderful somewhere in there. But um... go to the next question, we'll have to come back to this one.'

When host Andy Cohen asked her later if she had thought of anything nice, Salma said: 'I was wondering if he has a dog?'

After Andy said he thought Trump 'must have a very nice dog,' Salma said: 'Well there you go.'

Salma wore a figure-hugging black jumpsuit - cut away at the front to show plenty of cleavage - as she appeared alongside Craig - a former The Office star with a new show, Mr. Robinson, on NBC.

For drinks, Salma started with watermelon-vodka drink that she called 'really good and really healthy' before joining Andy and Craig in doing a shotski - downing from a shot glass attached to a long length of wood.

'You are going to have to go on your knees,' she joked to the much-taller Craig, before ending with a large grin after her shot.

Secrets also came out during the show when the host and guests played a Never Have I Ever version of Dish In The Dark.

Salma began the game with some humour after being asked if she had ever watched porn: 'What if it was accidental?' she queried.

She also admitted having sent nude photos by text - albeit not 'completely naked' ones - but caused the most shock when she admitted to having shoplifted.

'It was a little turtle!' Salma pleaded. 'I couldn't help myself - I was nine!'

Single guy Craig, meanwhile, was asked questions about what would be deal-breakers in a girl as a suitable match - admitting that 'doesn't give oral' would be a no-no, but a girl who baby-talked to his penis was just fine.

When asked if missing a front tooth would bother him, Craig looked at his fellow guest and said: 'If she looks like Salma then she can stay.'

The Pineapple Express stay was later asked who the most famous person he had smoked weed with was - a smiling Craig said: 'Snoop Dogg.'

'I've shared that pleasure myself,' Andy cheerfully responded.
