She's spent most of the summer lounging around in bikinis during a European getaway.

But now Lindsay Lohan is back in her adopted home city of London, the star is showing off a more autumnal wardrobe.

The 29-year-old actress was spotted heading out for another Mayfair dinner on Wednesday, teaming a chic shirt dress with knee high boots, but her look was ruined somewhat by her nicotine-stained fingers.

Lindsay chose an elegant look for her third London night out in a row this week. The Mean Girls star put on a leggy display in a smart white shirt dress, which she paired with green suede boots, 24 hours after she sported the same style in black leather.

Showing some skin by leaving plenty of buttons undone on her dress, the actress added a long-line jacket in the same colour as her boots and finished her look off with a bright pop of colour, thanks to her pink handbag.

Following her extended summer holiday, Lindsay's skin was glowing, with the pretty star adding just a hint of makeup.

The star reportedly turned to alternative medicine to try and quit smoking before her West End debut last autumn for Speed-the-Plow, but she's yet to kick the habit.

It's been a relaxing summer for the star, but reports suggest the actress is gearing up for a major new project.

Lindsay had her fans in a frenzy a few weeks ago when she dropped a hint on Instagram that she is planning a tell-all book.

A source has toldRadar Online that the star won't hold back when it comes to her first book.

'She wants to tell everything, even some of the stuff that happened when she was a kid growing up' reports Radar Online, claiming that the star has been holding talks with London publishers.

'She wants to tell the truth in her own words - about her folks, her job, her love life, the drugs, the parties, the highs, the lows, the lies.'

According to E! Lindsay received offers in the seven-figure range from as many as 10 different publishers to write her first book back in 2013.
