Ireland was recently in the South Of France and documented her holiday on social media.

She was in a far more reflective mood on Wednesday, sharing her thoughts about life as she watched the sunset over the Mediterranean.

In part of her long message, she wrote: 'Tonight, I found myself pausing, multiple times, to look to my right and left and I continuously asked myself... How the hell did I get lucky enough to end up here? Why me?

'After all my wrongdoings and heartbreaks and trauma and absence of self, how am I here today? I just wanted to take a moment to show gratitude to everyone who has continued to stand by my side through all that took place and through all that life will continue to throw at me.'

Time to reflect: On Wednesday the teenager was in a reflective mood, thanking all the people who have stood be her through her difficult year in a long caption to go with an image of the sun setting over the Mediterranean

The model has had a difficult year, breaking up with rapper girlfriend Angel Haze and entering the SOBA rehab facility in Malibu, California, to deal with 'emotional trauma' in April.

Since then she has been spending time with her dad, step-mother Hilaria Baldwin and their children, one-year-old Carmen and baby Rafael, who is just two months old.

Ireland has also been hanging out with her cousin, Hailey Baldwin, 18, who is also a model and the daughter of Alec's brother Stephen.
