He's been living life very much out of the spotlight for months, in stark contrast to his famous sisters.

But reclusive Rob Kardashian continued his social media comeback in the early hours of Thursday morning by posting a sweet throwback snap of his brother-in-law Kanye West kissing his baby daughter North.

The 28-year-old chose not to write a caption alongside the touching image, which appears to have been shot some months ago, and made no mention of his sister Kim, 34, despite her being Kanye's wife and little Nori's mother.

Just days ago his sister Khloe revealed her shy limelight brother was having a hard time.

But it seems reclusive Rob - who has kept out of the public eye for the past several months - may be about to come out of his shell, after taking to his Instagram account to share various snaps.

The former reality star uploaded a picture of himself eating a pulled pork sandwich while relaxing on Malibu beach.

Look who it is: Rob Kardashian made a very rare appearance on social media on Thursday, posting a photo of himself eating a pulled pork sandwich in Malibu.

He simply captioned the photo, which appeared to be a flashback: 'Me just chill-zoning in Malibu eating a pulled pork sandwich.'

It has become widely known that Rob, who once famously dated Rita Ora, has been struggling with depression due to his drastic weight gain.

He also surprisingly skipped his sister Kim and Kanye West's wedding extravaganza in Florence, Italy on May 24, 2014.

It was revealed that the star had issues with his famous family when in March he posted a shocking Instagram - which has since been taken down - comparing sister Kim to 'the b**** from Gone Girl.'

We all know who Khloe Kardashian's idol is, and it ain't her sister Kim.

Strained relationship? In March, Rob took to Instagram to share a snap - which has since been taken down - comparing his sister Kim to 'the b**** from Gone Girl'

At the time sources from RadarOnline revealed that Rob's relationship with his family - including momager Kris - has been very strained and that he feels he's being exploited by them for ratings.

'Rob told Kris in no uncertain terms he is extremely upset that his personal problems are being aired on national television,' a source told website. 'This isn’t going to help Rob in any way. If anything, it’s only pushing him farther away from the family.'

Meanwhile, Rob is currently living with 31-year-old Khloe, who recently talked about their relationship in an interview with Complex, released last month.

'Rob lives with me now and I wouldn't have it any other way,' she told the magazine. 'I love having him with me. I have a big ass house and I wanted it so he could feel, like, comfortable.

A message? Rob, who was notably absent from Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday dinner on Sunday, shared a snap of what appeared to be a bottle of a Paul Newman salad dressing on Kylie's birthday - the snap was simply captioned, 'RIP'

Khloe explained her sibling lived with her and ex-husband Lamar Odom through most of their marriage but after the couple split, the TV star moved into Rob's townhouse before both moving into her new, larger house.

The popular personality also revealed she goes 'crazy' when Rob threatens to move out, but she understands how it doesn't sound good to say he lives with his sister.

She also said her famous sisters Kim and Kourtney sometimes 'hate' how she tends to Rob, by confessing: 'I do baby him, but I'm a maternal person.'
