** Decoding the receipt number: The first 3 characters represent which service center is processing your case: EAC=Vermont , WAC=California, LIN=Nebraska, SRC=Texas. The next two digits represent the fiscal year (which runs from Oct 1 through Sept 30) in which your case was received (example: 00 is 2000 ). The next three digits represent the computer workday of that fiscal year on which the fee was taken.
