She changes hairstyles almost as much as she changes her clothes, but this birthday girl has returned to her most criticized look.

On Tuesday, Kylie - who is currently on holiday - posted a SnapChat of her new look.

The star, who turned 18 just two days ago, revealed she had ditched her wigs and usual free flowing long hair for cornrows.

In the SnapChat, Kylie snuggles up to pal Pia Mia in bed with her hair braided tightly against her head with blonde strands infused.

In another picture doing the rounds on Instagram also posted on Tuesday, Kylie's new look can be seen more clearly with the style consisting of five braids.

In the picture, the birthday girl has her head turned to the side to better show off her cornrows.

Just last month a similar look landed the reality star in a bit of hot water when she was accused of 'appropriating black culture' by fans and even another celebrity.

Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg commented directly on a picture of Kylie saying: 'When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter [sic].'

Unperturbed Kylie replied: 'Mad if I don't, Mad if I do…. Go hang w Jaden or something.'

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was referring to the fact that Amandla went to prom with Jaden Smith in May.
