She's the woman thrust into the middle of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's break-up.

But, as the famous couple's former nanny Christine Ouzounian showed off her brand new Lexus convertible on Wednesday, it has since been reported that Ben didn't buy it for her, despite previous rumours.

According to TMZ, sources close to the Hollywood star denied claims that he was subsidising her glamorous lifestyle, and that includes the car, which retails at upwards of $43,000.

The 28-year-old - who was fired from her role of caring for Ben and Jennifer's three children last month after being romantically linked to the Batman star - flaunted her new white motor with pride this week, also sharing a boastful snap on her Instagram page.

Although she is now without a job after working for the famous family, she has certainly been enjoying the perks of a more lavish lifestyle.

A source also told MailOnline that Christine 'has made some money selling the photos' of herself in recent weeks, and so can pay for her own way, adding that Ben is certainly not supporting her financially.

She was seen living it up at the upmarket Hotel Bel-Air in Beverly Hills, following the unveiling of pictures that showed her having a late-night rendezvous with the 42-year-old actor in LA in mid-July last week.

It was previously claimed that Ben was picking up the tab for all of her expenses while she was at the resort which, according to People, could total more than $12,000 for a week's stay.

The star's representatives continue to deny to MailOnline that there is any truth to the affair rumours, dismissing the claims as 'garbage'.

And new reports from the gossip site claim that the Argo actor is not, in fact, funding her fine lifestyle as was previously believed, with their sources also refuting that he has been paying for her stay at the Hotel Bel-Air.

However, they have not denied that Ben and his children's ex-nanny had 'some sort of friendship', while adding he currently is not in contact with her.

On Wednesday, the former child-minder appeared to not have a care in the world as she treated herself to a shopping trip in Los Angeles, having used her new Lexus to get around.

A day earlier, Ouzounian had shared a photo to Instagram which showed her posing with her expensive car.

The caption read: 'Keep calm and meet my new drop top Lexi' followed by a smiley face.

Although she may be out of a job at the moment, the ex-nanny didn't appear to be short on cash, and also carried a $478 Henri Bendel handbag during her outing.

Despite her social media account being set to private, the 'exclusive' picture set against the backdrop of palm trees and the ocean at sunset was obtained by Entertainment Tonight.

Amid rumours that she is romantically involved with Ben - who has been married to Jennifer, 43, for 10 years - the former nanny initially laid low after holing up at the exclusive hotel in Beverly Hills.

In recent days, though, the pretty blonde has broken her silence by sharing a series of photographs via social media that indicate she's not about to go away quietly.

On Monday, she posted a paparazzi photo of herself on her Instagram account with the caption: 'She's just a girl and she's on fire' -- Alicia Keys.'

Then on Tuesday, PageSix.com published a photo of Christine taken on the private jet she travelled to Las Vegas on with Ben and NFL star Tom Brady in June, after leaving Jennifer and the couple's three children behind in the Bahamas.

Meanwhile, estranged couple Jennifer and Ben - who announced they were getting a divorce at the end of June, just one day after their 10th wedding anniversary - have hired at least two new nannies to look after their kids, daughters Violet, nine, and six-year-old Seraphina, and three-year-old son Samuel.

Two of the new members of the hired help were seen taken the adorable children to visit their busy mother on the set of her new film Miracles From Heaven in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday, as their father Ben was in Los Angeles for work purposes.
